Stopped here for luncheon day and the food is pretty good.
I had the local fish (no idea what it was) which was cooked in a jerk style inside a bun, with salad and fries. Tasted pretty good although a little too much jerk.
Water was ice cold and refreshing.
Feels like the place needs a freshening up with the decor but the food was well cooked

Food was decent, pricing was OK, no alcohol license (BYOB), could use a bit of freshening up to make it more inviting. If you are staying there might make sense to have breakfast or lunch. Enjoyed the fresh cut fries and burger was decent (although I typically avoid med rare burgers). Service was better than at the Hungry Iguana.

My wife and I ate here many times during our recent nine-day stay at Sunset Cove Resort. Most of the meals served at The Beach Bum Café are for guests staying at the Sunset Cove Resort. The Beach Bum Café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although the menu is somewhat limited, all of the food we had here was very good. The views of the beach and the water are awesome from their small enclosed screened in building. Note: The Beach Bum Cafe does not serve alcohol.

Service is personal in this quaint little Cafe. We found Ken is the best chef and he cooks to perfection. We stayed in the complex as well as the food was good and the location on the beach was so relaxing.

The Beach Bum Cafe is part of the Sunset Cove resort on Little cayman. It is a recent addition to this very laid back island. The location on the sea edge everything you would want of a Caribbean island location, if you are looking to be close to nature, the sea, away from commercialism and totally in tune with the ethos of Little Cayman. We didn't stay at the resort as we were booked in elsewhere, though a quick visit of the facilities make it a very tempting option for the future. It is ideal for people who looking for a real island experience. Accommodation is clean and spacious and all on the sea edge by the beach with a beautiful view of the reef.
We joined a party of 8 others who live on Grand Cayman, for a birthday lunch in the Beach Bum Cafe. Ken in from South Carolina and he serves up excellent food - a mixture of Southern Cooking and Island Food. The food was great, tasty, fresh, full of sunshine spices and washed down with cold wine and beer in abundance. A fantastic way to spend a summers afternoon.
This cafe deserves to succeed. To produce this quality of freshly cooked food in such a remote place at the drop of a hat is impressive, and nothing was too much to ask for. If you are a person who enjoys easy living, good food, good company and being surrounded by nature then this is a place you should visit.
