As you drive past Chalk Sound, you are blown away with the absolutely gorgeous turquoise water. Our first time to Turks, we were driving by and had to stop and appreciate the view. We've kayaked there and enjoyed the calm, beautiful waters.

This is home to me in an area that has spectacular views of what appears to be little cays. The water is crystal clear and you have a nice sandy beach to talk walks.

The images capture exactly as is, the magnificence and beauty of this unreal vista, unfortunately you have to drive around to get a clear view of it but its worth it.

Beautiful, scenic bay of shallow water, which is fun to kayak. Water is crystal blue with beautiful white sand. Chalk Sound is across from Sapodilla beach, so you can rent kayaks for $25-35, depending your negotiating skills. Sound is huge, so you may want to rent for longer than an hour so you don't have to rush. Pay attention when heading out as area is not marked on where to return. Spend some time at Sapodilla beach, too, which is beautiful. If you take a taxi from hotel, negotiate before the ride, as rates vary depending on driver.
