This was hands down the best beach I have ever been too! So calm. So clean. So beautiful. Not a lot of people! George the dog was so friendly and hung out with us under our umbrella for awhile :)

Taylor Bay beach is awesome. Very calm. Great for kids and quiet. We are staying on Chalk Sound Drive very close to the beach. Because so many people have asked for directions, I thought I would let you know how to find the beach. Drive down South Dock Road to almost the end. Look for the police station to your right and turn right on to Chalk Sound Drive. The road is well marked. Drive up Chalk Sound Drive. You will pass Las Brisas on your right (If you are looking for the access to Sapodilla Bay beach, there is a small path on the left of the road just past Harbour Gates Close. All the cars parked on the street are using the beach path.). Keep going until you see Ocean Point Drive on your left. Drive up Ocean Point Drive not that far maybe 500 meters/yards. To your right you will see a gate leading to three two storey concrete and aluminum modern villas. To the left of that gate is the access to Taylor Bay beach. The path has a green fence. There used to be a gate blocking access to the beach but that gate has now been removed. In the Turks and Caicos, all beaches are available to the public. Which makes it an awesome island! People living or renting the villas are very nice. As is everyone living on the island. I bet you there will be no more than 4 to 7 groups of people on the beach. Enjoy!

Getting to Taylor Bay Beach requires a 20-30 minute drive for those visitors staying on the north side of Provo.
There’s also some challenge with parking and finding a path to the beach. Although the beach is public, the homeowners in the area don’t appreciate all these strangers parking randomly in the neighborhood and then cutting across their yards... so they do what they can to make it hard on visitors hoping to trample their landscaping while attempting to access Taylor Beach
I feel it is the coolest beach I’ve seen on the island and worth the trouble, but don’t go if you can’t bring a bit of adventuresome spirit with you.
The following instructions provide a good easy access route to the beach:
Drive all the way down S. Dock Rd through the industrial district (NOT the postcard perfect part of Provo). You will finally come to an S-curve w/a gas station on the left, followed by a large yellow stucco building on the right. Turn right onto the road immediately after the building. There’s a sign “Chalk Sound”
Look at odometer and proceed 1.3 km to a road “Ocean Point Drive” on the left. Turn here & go another 0.2km to SuLMar resort entrance on right. You’ll see 4-6 cars belonging to other beach seekers there on the right side of the street-park & lock.
Walk to SuLMar gate and then take the dirt corridor on the LEFT side of this entrance gate. It’s basically a 15 ft wide dirt road all the way to the beach (~200 yard walk)
Go ahead, if you can handle a little adventure, I think it’ll be worth your trouble

A bit difficult to get to. You have to go up a dirt road and walk on a path with a couple hills of dirt. The beach is secluded, pristine and the water is beautiful. You can walk far out and see your toes. Well worth it!

The most beautiful, clean & quiet beach on T & C. Shallow enough to walk and wade in for hundreds of feet. A friendly local dog, George roams this beach with his owner! It's the best beach on the island (Shhhh don't tell anyone). Perfect for SUP'ing or Kayaking because it's so calm.
