Description: Big Al's Island Grill is now open in Salt Mills Plaza. The restaurant made its grand opening in November, and offers a delicious variety of burgers and other entrees. The decor is that of a 50's diner, and will bring you down a trip through memory lane with its checkerboard design and red accents. Though the restaurant is the "new kid on the block," owner Doug Camozzi is not new to the restauranteur business. He is also the owner and manager of The Green Bean Cafe in Turtle Cove. Doug opened Big Al's Island Grill in honor of his father, a seasoned restauranteur himself, running successful businesses in San Francisco. On the Menu Big Al's offers quite a unique selection of burgers including their New Mexican Burger, the Sicilian Burger and the Smashed Onion. Fries are offered in shoestring, krinkle or waffle cut. Burgers are not the only meals you will find at Big Al's. Don't miss out on their wraps and salads, grilled chicken, fish or steak options. Gluten-free and vegetarian choices are available too. If you think you can take on a challenge, try the Slider Challenge at Big Al's. If you can finish the meal within 30 minutes, you get a free t-shirt. Be sure to stop by and visit Big Al's Island Grill if in the Grace Bay area.

Big Al's Is a laid back, fair priced burger / sandwich place in the Saltmills shopping center. We ate the paninis: Jerk Chicken and Skinny Al. Both were tasty and satisfying, especially at $10 a pop. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and helpful, even stopping to ask if we needed any help finding our way around. This place is definitely worth the stop. Bonus points for a kid friendly menu.

Been to Salt Mills area before. Decided to try different places to eat this time. We were a group of 10 for dinner. We were seated immediately and had a friendly waitress who was very patient with my crew. The prices were average to the island. When the bill came, we noticed that she did not include gratuity, unlike some places in that area. We made sure she was compensated. The burgers were good, and 2 people in my party had good salads. My husband also enjoyed the vanilla milkshake. I would recommend this spot, and I would go again.

I have to give 5 stars because the whole family loved these burgers. But a $12 burger should come with fries...having to pay $4 more for the side is criminal.

They handled our Gluten free needs very well.

We've been twice and we've only been here three days!

We came to Big Al's mainly for respite from the heat and had a good lunch. The waiter got my girlfriend's order wrong and we had to wait a very long time (at least by New Yorker standards) for the check. However, I loved the mahi mahi fish and chips! Would recommend.

We stopped by for lunch and a cold drink when out shopping in Provo, and found Al's to be a fascinating place. We ordered paninis, which turned out to be simply gorgeous, and a perfect accompaniment to the cold beers we ordered. The ice-cream follow-up was delicious, too. The waitress was rather surly but, hey, maybe she was having a bad day?
