Description: Buddha Sushi is located on the East End of St. Thomas and features the best sushi on the island. The ladies here at the laboratory are very fond of it and we've been there for take-out or parties. It features a very unique and creative sushi menu. The happy hour is the best time to go, from 5 - 7 pm.

We ended up ordering both Buddha specials and a couple of other rolls. The Buddha specials combined were about $50 which we had high expectations for. Not worth the price that we paid for. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took over an hour to receive our food. We ordered dessert with our entree in hopes we would get dessert right after our food. However we finished our rolls and then waited 20 minutes before we heard the fryer going off (friends apples). Not worth the wait or the price. The good thing about the place was the music and that we had an awesome waitress who apologized and constantly made sure we were apologize. Places like this is so frustrating with lazy chef and the waiters suffer.

I love the food and the vibe of this restaurant! Every time I go to St. Thomas, it’s a must to eat here. The local spin on the sushi is amazing...Where else can you get salt fish sushi? Even my brother who is a very picky eater was really pleasantly surprised. The owner is very personable and stops by the table to ask about the experience and to resolve any issues or concerns... check this place out if you’re in St. Thomas!!

Wonderful interpretations on the original.... with local twists. At first glance, the exterior of the building may not call out a great sushi experience, but don’t rush to judgment...you would never comprehend the art of the chef inside. Locals know where the freshest sushi lies outside the sea in St. Thomas at this gem! The salt fish roll was an original worth going out of your way to experience. Of course, sashimi was first grade and good selection of Sake with a full bar.

I ordered 5 rolls at 8:45pm. It’s 9:57 and I’m still standing here. I asked for my money back at 9:45 and they refused since he’s “making it now”

The sushi place in Red Hook plaza has been good and consistent. Going to stick with them.
