Was a great place to stay, clean and well taken care of. View was amazing! Jess was an amazing host full of information. We would certainly go back and stay there again and recommend to friends and family!

At Home in the Tropics is an amazing gem!

Located a short walk from Black Beard's castle, and nestled within a series of other historical sites, Mark and Jessica's inn offers the best of many different worlds. The central location on Government Hill is a short ride from the airport. It's central location offers easy access to nearby shopping and dining in central Charlotte Amalie, Havensight, and Frenchtown. From 5-star restaurants to beach bars, and diamonds to trinkets, everything is within easy reach. Several great beaches are also close by, including Magen's Bay, and the location provides a great jumping off point for other USVI and BVI adventures.

The inn itself - originally constructed in 1803 as a barracks for the Danish government - is a unique historical treasure with incredible views. Pictures only capture a fraction of the beautiful serenity that surrounds the property. Daytime views are filled with the tranquil activity of bay: cruise ships, catamarans, and sea planes. The evenings offer a peaceful panoramic of the city lights. These views are accessible from all of the rooms, as well as the spacious pool deck (one of our favorite features).

Mark and Jessica are amazing hosts, and the breakfast experience is very special, offering a truly personal taste of the islands. Johnny cake breakfast sandwiches! Need I say more? Both are available to answer any questions and provide detailed information and recommendations to help you make the most of your stay. We felt most welcome as guests within their beautiful inn.

Our only regret is not spending more time here. We will definitely be back.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your first stay with us and found our location so convenient for all the activities you wanted to do while on St Thomas. Lounging by the pool watching the seaplanes and boats in the harbor can be very tranquil and relaxing. Glad that you got to experience that before heading off for your island adventures. We look forward to seeing you next time!

Friendly owners who make sure your stay is enjoyable and are a great source of information and tips to make your visit to St. Thomas enjoyable! Located near the top of the hill in King's Quarters, the view of the harbor is breathtaking.

We stayed in St Thomas for 3 nights with some friends before departing on our cruise. Our group had all 4 rooms and I can tell you that they are essentially identical other than one has a queen bed. We were in room 2, but since we never used the balcony, room 3 or 4 would have been the better value. The rooms are decorated simply in a tasteful tropical motif. There is adequate but not generous space for unpacking your clothes, so plan your wardrobe efficiently. You really don't need much in the islands.

Jessica and David's B&B was a great way to get into the Caribbean spirit before we set off on our cruise. They are great hosts--very accommodating and had good recommendations for restaurants. My favorites were Amalia Cafe (the Zarzuela de Mariscos was divine) and Twisted Cork for dinner and Gladys's for lunch. The islands are still recovering from back to back hurricanes but this won't impact your visit if you find a nice place to stay like At Home in the Tropics.

Room Tip: All rooms are essentially the same other than the balcony which is accessible from rooms 1 and 2. We never used the balcony because we opted for the outdoor area around the pool where it was shady.

Stayed here with friends for 3 nights before a BVI catamaran sail. Jessica and Mark could not have been more friendly, helpful and accomodating. The inn itself is spotless and situated in a great location above Charlotte Amalie with a spectacular harbor view. Close walk to town for shops and restaurants. They will gladly help arrange taxis for beach runs or whatever else you might need. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!

Room Tip: Not a bad room in the inn
