Just came here for a day trip with a beach pass off the Holland America Nieuw Statendam. This was a last minute decision due to a port change since Key West banned ships that carry over 2,500 passengers from visiting their ports. I applaud Key West as they realize the cruise ship industry is destroying a bit of their culture. This hotel sits out on a port that is protected by a mid-sized jetty that will protect you from the eastern prevailing winds. The water looks like a swimming pool. The service here is fantastic and you can sit on the beach or by the pool and get great service. They have a nice full size but very basic menu that includes conch tacos. I had this dish as it was incredible. I love fried conch so this is a great place to get it and it is included with the $75 all inclusive price that you can get when you show up after a $7 cab (pp) from the main cruise terminal. They're under new management as of a couple of months ago so they are working extra hard to earn your business. You should come over here and forfeit going to Pirate's Cove.
