This hotel had pleasant staff but the appeal ended there. The place had the pool, gym, business centre, restaurant, but it was a place we didn't want to spend any time. It's was weirdly quiet with only 4 or so sun beds around the pool and no guests. The rooms were very tired and in a poor location in the centre of town with no beach or keys. We spent all day out and only came back to sleep, or try to sleep. Our AC unit kept us awake like a diesel generator might in the corner of the room. It would shut down and then restart time and time again. I didn't want to dislike the place as it felt like the sort of struggling hotel you might come across in the third world, starved of resources but carrying on regardless.

If you remember the oldies tv series The Time Tunnel - you will know what was the feeling of being cast back to the eighties...the room, furniture, tv, decorations and even the breakfast are deep back in time.
Resort it is not, the hotel is good enough for spending the night if you are in the area for business meeting or working in one of the ships at the dry dock- but not more than that.
Staff is very polite.

If you are in Freeport Bahamas for pleasure/vacation dont stay here.
The hotel is old, and far from everything on the island. and very poor internet connection.

The restaurant does serve food, but that is all, well you can also get a beer to drown your poor choice of hotel selection.

But one positive thing, the staff is excellent, happy and polite.
I stayed here for business, and did not choose the hotel myself!

I have stayed here at this hotel a few times. It's about ten minutes to the airport, and ten minutes to downtown.

The rooms and hotel are ok, but dated. Things are wearing out and looking it.

If this is a vacation for you, pay the extra 20-30 dollars a night and stay at one of the hotels in downtown Lucaya. There is not much near you here that is open periodically. You will pay a lot in taxis to do anything.

There is a restaurant onsite. Food is not too bad, although what is described to you when you order is sometimes different to what you get. However service is a little slow.

There is no bottled water in the rooms. There is in the restaurant. However after hours the front desk cannot get you any. There is a Pepsi machine on the second level. However still no water. Ten minutes walk there is a gas station you can get some.

I have being coming to this hotel for the past 3 years due to its locality to my client. On this trip things have gotten worse service wise. I have been experiencing difficultly with the internet. I was unable to access my emails for two days from Yahoo and Lycos. This was corrected. However I have not been able to upload my work files to my Organization server due to some new firewall the hotel implemented. I complained about the issue from day 2 of my stay and were given promises of it being corrected. No luck!!!. This is my last stay at this hotel. The bathrooms are in need of new faucets and the wall tiles are caking in some instance.

Room tip: Its difficult to say.
