I ended up winning a vacation to the Bahamas for 2 through Emerson Travel (more of a discount bc we paid $280/person round trip for the ship and almost 1k for the hotel - $89/person/night). We took the cruise ship from Port of Palm to the Bahamas and stayed at the Viva Wyndham for 4 days.
The ship (Grand Classica/Margaritaville at Sea Paradise) was ok. Old and outdated, but it got us from point A to point B just fine.
The resort was overall very nice. It was clean and well maintained. The service was great. There was a lot to do on the grounds (spa, tennis, archery, paintball, volleyball, pool, hot tub). The beach was most excellent! The sand was soft and fine. The water was calm and so clear. You can checkout kayak, paddle boards, snorkeling and it's all included in the package.
All meals are also included at the buffet. The food is not bad, but not great, just ok (lots of potatoes, spinach, cantelope). All the drinks are included as well. There's also a burger and hotdog bar right be the beach and pool. The room was comfortable and clean. You can also sign up for excursions right at the hotel. These are not included in the package, but very worth it. We did snorkeling in the ocean two days. One day at a coral reef and it was amazing! The second day we snorkled with...I ended up winning a vacation to the Bahamas for 2 through Emerson Travel (more of a discount bc we paid $280/person round trip for the ship and almost 1k for the hotel - $89/person/night). We also went to the Lucayan Market to do some shopping and eating. Finally, we spent some time at the Garden of the Groves botanical garden, which is a 5 min drive from the hotel.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! There are nicer all inclusive resorts, but for the discount, it was definitely worth it. The entertainment staff was awesome and worked so hard to have events and shows throughout the day. Special thanks and shout outs to Megs, KJ, Manuela, Blake, Sarah, Ian, Silver, Manuel, Amoury, Irela, Jack, Sara, and DJ Frank. They are all so talented as well! Thank you!More
