If you’re wanting a Sandals type chain then stop reading now. We have visited many resorts from high end to mid range. This is a mid range resort. And a 5 star within its class. Listen to me you aren’t going to get filet mignon on the beach. However, this resort offers much more for the price we paid. This is the Bahamas and for an all incl. resort you can’t go wrong. Here’s the pros: beach amazing! You’re rheee for the beach! Lots of chairs. Pool is fine nothing exceptional but it’s there and it’s close to the ocean. You should be at that beach not by the pool all the time. The buffet & 3 restaurants were good lots of variety. Staff all very friendly. Activities..LOTS! More than any other resort I have been too. Our last day was a cloudy day we booked our free 30 min catamaran, did some archery, paintball, bingo. Kids club I hear the kids all loved it we checked it out seems great but felt our kids were a tad too young to partake. evening shows were good. Mini disco my son loved it. We stayed in the garden room area R.3115 no issues. Rooms were fine, clean, we slept well. Again, not a sandals room but let’s face it. If you’re in your room that much stay home. Our neighbour had issues with her water temp but it was rectified and she got transferred to another room the next day it got fixed and another family moved in. Before going I read lots of reviews regarding timeshares. No one approached me. Not once. This is a laid back resort with good vibes. I didn’t feel like workers wanted tips but I tipped when I felt I wanted to. Everyone from staff to the guests were nice. Cons. The bus ride to the resort was packed. Pay 28$ and get a cab. Check in is 3 pm which is fine they need time to clean the rooms for the next batch of guests. On the bus I didn’t like the fact they promoted swimming with pigs. If you want to swim with wild pigs go to exuma. Not Freeport or Nassau you will get farmed pigs who don’t swim. I wasn’t supporting that. Go experience this at your local farm and save $100 usd plus. You just look silly as this is far from the real wild pig beach. Instead we paid $50 with sunwing rep and snorkeled with turtles and rays which was amazing and a must do!!! Save yourself the hassle rent a car and do the national park. Diving I hear nothing but positive feedback. A little bit of a line up at check in around 3 pm. Just go for 2:45 beach the rush. If youre travelling with someone one do the check in and one book on the opposite end for the à la cartes. Get it done. My only con was the line up at 3pm check in and not being able to get baileys or something similar to baileys on ice. But whatever that’s nothing to complain about. It didn’t affect my trip and we enjoyed everything! Thank you for this memorable vacation. Everyone loves to feel entitled and leave negative reviews. Take them with a grain of salt. Seriously. Book this. Go with a positive attitude be kind and you’ll be respected. I created an account to purposely write this review. Don’t listen to that man promoting pig beach on the ride in for sunwing as a must do that’s just easy money for them and people look like fools feeding farmed pigs and not actual wild pigs like the ones in exuma. If you do it you’ll get karma the pigs poop in the water.. just saying.

We stayed here in March 2017 and left a negative review based on our experience at that time. We loved the beach so we decided to give it another try and this time was an amazing experience all around!!

We loved our ocean front room, we were the closest to the ocean you could be! The buffet food is always good and fresh, the a la carte restaurants need to be booked your first morning at the resort for the week if you want to try them. The pool is on the cooler side, lots of seats around it so you won’t need to be up at 5am to get a seat! The beach and pool area have lots of loungers all day available. You will always find somewhere to lounge and tan! There is coffee at the main bar to get an espresso or a latte if you want to change up from booze! There is a basketball court, beach volleyball, paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkelling equipment PLUS activities around the pool all day if you want to participate. The beach is incredible and you can walk for hours on it! If you are looking to be served all day at this resort this isn’t the resort for you. You have to get up off your bottom to get your own food and drinks….if you’re lazy or want to be lazy book elsewhere! Don’t waste your money on the excursion to go to Gold Rock beach (Pirates of the Caribbean filmed Dead man’s chest there) - total waste of money! Pay for a taxi to get there and back and save some money!! That beach is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen! I do wonder if Johnny Depp left a buried treasure there after filming….I think he’s crazy enough to do something like that lol!!

To sum up the best parts for us…we loved the beach, the animation staff (Amy, Blake, and the others - sorry forget all your names), the main bar staff (we were the ones who wanted “something fruity” ha ha), all the staff speak English, drinkable water, the buffet staff are polite and keep everything clean - these are the reasons our trip was outstanding!

My boyfriend and I took a couples trip here with our friends. After reading reviews, I was a bit wary. I agree it was not the cleanest and the drinks were mostly juice, BUT there were lots of awesome things. Also our A/C barely functioned and it barely went under 80 ever in our room. Mainly the food at the restaurants and the excursions booked through Tiffany and with Cesar (we did the city tour and the pigs/turtles) were fabulous. The beach was clean and beautiful and always had plenty of chairs. The shows at night were surprisingly good and the games the staff put on were fun! They definitely work super hard to make sure we are always entertained! It seemed to be mostly Canadians and we were some of the few Americans, but we didn’t mind and everyone is so friendly! Wish we were able to book more nights at the restaurant (we were only let known that when we got there). Over all 4/5 with room for improvement.

I will try to keep this short and try not to bore any of you but if you are thinking of going here and expecting a clean friendly resort, think again!
Just got back last week. I was so upset as we had booked for two weeks.
-no hot water to shower
-staff was miserable
-had to ask every single day to clean the tables we were sitting at
- honey bees galore swarming you everywhere. at the beach, at the pool, outside on the patio...everywhere!
-dirty rooms, our sink kept getting clogged, fridge was leaking, dirty, dirty, dirty place!
- had to beg for a bottle of water in our rooms
-woke up every morning with a rash
-entertainment was below par
-staff was not friendly at all
there is so much potential at this resort but no one cares to do anything about it.
-there was people selling drugs on the beach and security did absolutely nothing about it. we had one guy with an ankle bracelet who was on probation selling cocaine and people behind us snorting it.
I did not feel safe at all on this resort whatso ever!!
I have to say the woman who came to bring us towels and clean our room was amazing and if it wasn't for (Karen I would have been more upset. she was the sweetest person on the resort and made me smile everyday!
The manager Omar was the best!!
He did try to make our stay more comfortable when I brought up my concerns but when you have solar panels to heat the water and it was cloudy and rainy and cold there's really not much he could do with the water situation...but that was ok we could deal with that and He did try and send water to our room every other day but that was also a challenge as we had to remind them at front desk every single time and it was such a bother to them that we waiting for hours before we got any.
I was there for two weeks and tried to get a flight back home after the fourth day there but it was so hard to deal with the reps at SunWing !! This is the worst experience and worst resort i have ever been to and I will never go back there again and will never recommend this place to anyone.
the grounds were beautiful but kept dirty. .the guys who were there trying to clean up would throw the drinks right beside where people sat and that just made sitting outside impossible as you would get swarmed by bees.
There was renovations going on so all you would here is drilling and sawing and hammering all day . I couldn't even sit on the balcony without getting sawdust in my coffee....and then there's the balconies with lattice that separated each room on one side and a block on the other side so every morning i would have to make sure that no one was on the balcony before I went out with my robe to have my coffee...or make sure I was dressed appropriately in case someone was sitting on the balcony....absolutely ridiculous!! No privacy at all!!!!!
I heard all these concerns from so many people on the resort that its mind boggling how it is still running!
they cover up mold with a coat of paint and off you go. Syringes on our floor, and dirt left behind from the workers.. Yellow tape all over the place that you didn't know which way to get out at times....just so upsetting .I have photos of every thing I have mentioned including the miserable staff!! i saved up for this vacation and i feel like I have been royally ripped off!!!
there are 3 a la carts which serve the same food as the buffet so why bother!!!

Room tip: All rooms are exactly the same...only view changes!!

We went to the Wyndham as part of a day trip excursion from our cruise. We were hoping to enjoy the beach and use some of the water equipment. Unfortunately the day was too windy and we were not able to use any of the kayaks or paddleboards. The sand on the beach was beautiful white sand. There were however quite a bit of cigarette butts in the sand which were unpleasant.

We enjoyed some cocktails and the bartenders were very pleasant even when the line was long.

We didn't enjoy the food in the buffet at all! The food was just not very good and was dry and flavorless. I even tried the Diet Coke which I am convinced wasn't Diet Coke but a substitute of some sort as I couldn't even drink it. The best option is to stick to the salad bar and water or another cocktail.

We then thought we would try the pool and hot tub but the pool was not heated and was very cold. This explained why only children were in the pool. The hot tub wasn't hot and had no bubbles and was the temperature of bath water.

If you are looking to just sit on the beach then this might be your place. We will not be returning to this resort.
