We stayed here for 3 nights & it seemed like everyday something worse happened. They wouldn’t let us check in when we got there from our cruise line so we had to wait for hour & got to see what Taino Beach had to offer in their restaurant that was mediocre. The beach view was beautiful, I’ll give them that but it was a walk across the street to get there. The ferry shut down so we had to take taxis to get to the market place. The beds are NOT comfortable, in fact ours had bed bugs. The room we were in didn’t have the furnishings as the other rooms also, no blanket & not even a lamp. The people were friendly but that’s the least they could do. Taino beach actually has very limited options, they’ll cancel everything at one drop of rain & the resort across the street gives you access to their pool but that’s the only thing that may be worth it other that the beach. It’s very old & desperately needs an update. It has a horrible gift shop. Housekeeping was lousy with the cleaning but they want you to clean up the room before you leave. The power goes out. If you don’t plan on being in the room at all, not even to sleep or bathe, this place my in fact be perfect for you.

The hotel is right across the street from the beach and a restauraunt which is convenient. There is a hot tub, water slide, swim-up bar and lazy river on the grounds. The hotel staff was always nice and friendly.

This place isn’t fancy or luxurious but it is nice and had everything I needed including a kitchenette and the rooms are also cute. It is a short walk to the beach, restaurant, and pool, which are all together. The pool is amazing, and the bar is really cool. The bartender was good and he makes the drinks strong. The front desk worker and cleaning ladies are really nice too. The beach is beautiful, there is a big hot tub, there are cats everywhere too! The ferry boat to port Lucaya in right behind the hotel and is really cheap however taxi services are more expensive.

Hotel is old, rooms are old, toilets don't flush well, very low water pressure in the shower, leaking faucet in sink, Most important, no backup power generator. Hotel lost power for an entire night & most of the next day and there was nothing they could do for the guests. You have to pay Taino Beach a resort fee to use the pool, the beach and go to the one restaurant across the street which are the nicer pictures you see online but it is not this hotel. You will be charged $10 to rent a beach towel. The store in hotel is limited with things to buy and only if you have power. Very loud, you can hear everything in the room behind you. It only separates each room by a thin door. The hotel only gives the marina view and 1st floor to guests with boats!I No elevator. I will never return!!!!!

Room tip: higher floor might have a little less noise situation from the taxi cabs and trucks in and out.

Room was clean, just needs a little maintenance/updating especially in bathrooms. Since we didn't spend much time in the room it was fine. Bed was comfortable. All the staff was friendly and helpful. This place is not on the resort grounds - across the street. Allowed us to get into our room early! Big mama is great - so accommodating and helpful. Walls are a bit thin - could hear someone in the adjacent room snoring! No safe which would have been helpful. All in all we were pleased.
