the front desk staff ok, but not friendly nor helpful, the lifeguard/security Frankie was above and beyond resourceful and super guy, pool was closed- so workers were there -noisy sometimes. not a lot of guidance on local activities at the resort itself= outside taxi drivers and activity vendors were more helpful ( for a price). Food was good at the SeaGrape on site restaurant- closed for evening meals during this stay tho...the location of the resort is excellent, taxis on site for convenience...

I'll start with the 2 positives. The staff is wonderful. The property, including my condo, were very clean. Now the negatives. There is no transportation of any kind at this property. Getting aping by taxi is very expensive. The property advertises free wi-fi. It neglects to mention it's only available in the main lobby. The kitchenette is poorly equipped. There are no plates. There is a 1- quart pot only. Nothing larger, no frying pan. There is no oven safe pan. 1 Pyrex casserole dish. The lights over the stove top does not work. If I wanted to cook it is nearly impossible. The phone in the room does not work. I am an older woman traveling alone. This is a safety and security issue. Noone came to fix the phone. There are 2 slider doors in the unit. Both door tracks are severely corroded from exposure to the elements making it very difficult to open and close them. The bathroom tub surround is cracked on the wall and the floor. The fixtures are dated and corroded. Cable TV is provided. However there is no channel guide, not on paper or on the TV itself. An inconvenience and annoyance. There is an activities center and a printed list of daily activities. However, the activities center is always closed. When I arrived there was a sign notifying guests both the pool and hot tub were closed for the month for resurfacing and tiling. This had to be planned in advance. There was no mention of it when I booked the trip in November. My visit was arriving on a Wednesday and leaving on Tuesday. Quite shockingly and without notice, a sign went up in Sunday informing the cancelation of dinner service Monday - Thursday effective the next day. There is no food available on site after 3 pm. This is outrageous. Yesterday there were a couple of gentlemen in the lobby asking information about the property. They asked a few questions at desk. Every response was "I don't know. Check the website". When asked if there was any printed information or a brochure they were told no. I would recommend everyone stay away from this property. All the negatives do not make up for beachfront property in my opinion.

no shuttle to take you anywhere.. taxi charges $30 round trip
hot tub not working for 10 days of our stay
kitchen not adequately equipped.. not enough forks, no sponge, no dish soap, no garbage pail
no screens on the doors or windows
not much to do but hang on the beach unless you have transportation. Renting a car is recommended but the steering wheels are on the other side of the car and driving is on the opposite side of the street than in the US.

My family and I were guests of Island Seas Resort from 12/28/2022 to 1/1/2023. The beach was beautiful and the landscaping on the grounds was gorgeous. The staff in the resort restaurant were all friendly and professional. The staff from the front desk were a different story. They were incredibly impatient, unorganized, and downright rude. From them copping an attitude when we asked for towels (Which we had to beg for multiple times a day, both beach towels and towels for our room) to them being unwilling to assist me in helping fix their printer so I could print our boarding passes home, the front desk staff were the stain on this experience for all of us. The rooms were dirty even after being cleaned and as mentioned before, no towels were to be found. I dried myself off from my showers with hand towels all but one of the days I was there. When we would ask for towels, it was always an excuse and never an apology. "We already gave you towels" (Two towels two days ago for five people to shower with). "We just sent them over to your room" (I had just come from my room and had not received any towels for days). Overall, a beautiful property, but poor management brought our experience down significantly. Word to the wise, go elsewhere if you can and if you can't, BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS!! And don't expect the staff to be concerned about any of your concerns. Poor poor management.

This was one of the worst vacation experiences we have ever had! We checked in the week of 12-24-12/30/2022 and encountered one problem after another. First, there was no Wi-Fi in the room and we had to go to the lobby to get online during this busy holiday week! In addition, the telephone in the room didn't work. We had to walk to the lobby every time we had an issue or question which were many. They kept saying it would get fixed but it never was fixed after a week of our stay; the water pressure in the main bathroom was so small that the water coming out of the shower is even smaller than the drizzling rain outside; there were no towels for the beach even after being asked to wait for hours; the door to our 2nd bedroom is broken and the dishwasher was rusty and smelly... The list goes on and on. What was most frustrating is they didn't seem to care or make an effort to address these issues. We understand the hurricane of 2019 has had a huge impact on this area. Many infrastructures are still being restored. But there is no excuse for the poor service. The only good thing about this place is its beach which is charming. It was definitely not worth the money we paid for the week of vacation!
