Stayed two nights. Beautiful luxurious accommodation. We stayed in the Bosuns Den on the ground floor. It had a decking balcony and the view across the bay is to due for.
The steam railway can be reached by foot albeit up hill coming back. The passenger ferry is a short drive away and you park the car there. It cost £2 per person each way but dependent on tide and weather.
Otherwise Barmouth is 35 mins drive away around the bay.

We booked Brakenhurst House for my husband's birthday and stayed in the Admirals Bay room, which was spottlessly clean, tastefully furnished and had fantastic views of the sea and mountains through the bay windows. The extra little touches makes staying that bit more special. Breakfast was cooked perfectly using quality ingredients and served in the conservatory with wonderful views.
The owners were friendly with nothing too much trouble.
This luxurious accomodation definitely deserves its 5 star rating. It was everything we wished for plus more. My only wish was that I should of booked for longer than 1 night. We will definitely be returning. Thank-you Sue.

What a perfect place to stay. Brackenhurst House overlooks the Mawddach Estuary and the views are magnificent. Geoff and Sue are wonderful hosts and we had a lovely welcome. They were so helpful with the history of the area, friendly and professional.
Their home is so tastefully decorated and the bedroom we stayed in had dual aspect windows with stunning views on both sides. Very clean and the bed linen crisp and fluffy towels and robes.
Breakfast was very good indeed from fresh fruit and croissants, cereals, to full Welsh breakfast and salmon. We ate al fresco and didn't want to leave that morning. The views are just breathtaking!
We relaxed after a lovely Indian meal at the Indiana Cuisine and sat watching a magnificent sunset with our wine on the balcony the evening we arrived. Geoff lit the fire pit and that just was magic.
Just wished we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend this beautiful boutique B&B.
We'll be back!
Kind regards,
Phil and Jude Bevan.
