This boutique hotel is well worth staying at. It has great views, lovely rooms and a relaxing atmosphere. You feel as though you are part of the family, but you are able to as private as you want to be. Breakfast was great - you couldn't want anything more. As there are only a few rooms you have your own table in a spacious dining area.We would definitely go back here again for a quiet relaxing break when in the area. Richard & Sharon

Brackenhurst House is an amazing find. The house itself has been completely refurbished to a very high standard. Our room had a double aspect overlooking the sea and had all the amenities we could have asked for. Sue was very friendly and helpful and cooked a lovely breakfast. Breakfast was served in a wonderful conservatory with magnificent views.

Room Tip: All rooms have wonderful views

Stayed two nights. Beautiful luxurious accommodation. We stayed in the Bosuns Den on the ground floor. It had a decking balcony and the view across the bay is to due for.
The steam railway can be reached by foot albeit up hill coming back. The passenger ferry is a short drive away and you park the car there. It cost £2 per person each way but dependent on tide and weather.
Otherwise Barmouth is 35 mins drive away around the bay.

We booked Brakenhurst House for my husband's birthday and stayed in the Admirals Bay room, which was spottlessly clean, tastefully furnished and had fantastic views of the sea and mountains through the bay windows. The extra little touches makes staying that bit more special. Breakfast was cooked perfectly using quality ingredients and served in the conservatory with wonderful views.
The owners were friendly with nothing too much trouble.
This luxurious accomodation definitely deserves its 5 star rating. It was everything we wished for plus more. My only wish was that I should of booked for longer than 1 night. We will definitely be returning. Thank-you Sue.
