I have not visited before but took the opportunity to go for a walk here earlier this week. Simply superb! Great views, tranquil snd calming. Why have I not been before?

Four different walks ranging from twenty mins to two hours. All for novice walkers, nothing challenging.

I have been coming to the Burn O’Vat for over 50 years. The first thing you notice as you start the walk is the quietness. Just the gentle sound of water trickling down and wind through the trees. As a kid I loved to play in the burn and have many fond memories of being here with my family. The scenery is wonderful and the trail can be as easy or as challenging as you want.

Climbed here several years ago. You need good sturdy shoes, but it is well worth it. We sat on the rocks halfway up and had a picnic! A good day out.

A very cool and accessible hike. We didn't know this was a thing to do in the Deeside area but due to being snowed in the area and not super into skiing - this was a lovely alternative "find." It's a super short hike from the main parking are - all on a well worn and plotted path. It's definitely accessible to and for most people. There's a small part where to see the full waterfall you have to walk in some water (so if you're going in the winter you need some sturdy rubber boots of calf height at least - don't recommend going barefoot in the glacial water) - which might require some patience and balance if you don't feel overly athletic.
