A historical monument located in the middle of a busy intersection. Aside from being a symbol of the city of Jogjakarta, it has an imaginary axis between Mount Merapi and the Jogjakarta Kraton.

I passed by this monument several times during my four-day stay in Jogjakarta. Located in a very busy street, it was difficult to stop by and take pictures. Oh well, there is no point risking one's life!

Well, this site is a must visit at Yogyakarta, even though the monument is a single building in the middle of the street with nothing more, but it has historical value to Yogyakarta. Not to mention that around the monument at night you'll find many street kulinaries that are cheap and with nice ambience.
