Having looked at the menu some time ago we vowed to try it out and were not disappointed. Simple but stylish decor, As we were quite early (opens at 10 a,m) we ordered from the Brunch menu, but the offers from 12 noon which were chalked up sounded equally deliciious..something for everybody. You can have a plain old bacon butty and that kind of stuff, but I chose the Smoked Haddock croquettes, with a bit of a worry it might be a bit too smoked-fishy. No! Perfect..poached eggs were spot on, the Hollandaise nice, and a lovely tasty salad. My daughter had the crab and crayfish salad, which looked amazing..lots of it and the salad was beautiful. We could watch the food being cooked and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Can't wait for our next visit when we'll sample the tapas!!

A tapas type menu with a good variety of dishes. The staff were very friendly and helpful describing what was on offer. The food was good, the only downside is that you have a good selection of dishes and it can be quite expensive for a family outing.

A small cafe tucked away in a new development near the harbour -perhaps hearty plain food -fish n chips or bacon sarnies? No not at all, not even close - a fantastically varied menu of elegant and innovative dishes at reasonable prices. The flavours of all the dishes we had were quite exceptional from the spiced monk-fish through to macaroni cheese with lobster. Even a dish of green vegetables was flavoured with lime and pine nuts!
Really really good cooking - but very different and portions are modest.
Probably the most interesting ( in a good way!) meal we have had in the North-East of England. Highly recommended -get there before it becomes too popular!

Happened to stumble across this place which is not on the main drag in amble but packed away near the marina. The staff were lovely and friendly, the food was absolutely delicious and we tried a lot off the menu. The snails were a particular favourite as was the monkfish which again was just an extraordinary explosion of flavours to the palate. The caprese mozzarella salad was to die for and not like your normal boring beef tomatoes, a slice or two of mozzarella and a sprig of basil... noo this one was absolutely packed with flavour and creamy buffalo mozzarella a definite when you're there. Who'd think that a small place such as Amble would house possibly one of the best eateries in Northumberland? Definitely try this place of you're in Amble. You will not be disappointed!

Popped in for lunch as we were walking up the coast, what a fantastic find. Had the "tapas" menu, every dish was excellent!
