Great location and amazing lobster quesadilla. This was one of the top recommended places on the island and it is always filled with people.

Great place. Love the view. Go a little later to not have to wait. Snapper was great. Humus was good also. Would go back.

We enjoyed unique creative lunch choices presented beautifully to match the wonderful view in this bright little gem of a restaurant. The frozen rum/mango drink was so real and fresh and served with a bamboo straw, no less. With all the hoopla about how bad plastic straws are for the environment it was encouraging to see the use of washable reusable bamboo straws along with real plates, cloth napkins to boot. My two young grandchildren were also well taken care of. Great experience. Quite expensive for lunch but it was well worth it.

Sip Sip, the Bahamian term for the word "gossip,” is a quintessential beach restaurant overlooking the bluff on the ocean side of gorgeous Harbour Island in the Bahamas. I've been coming to Harbour Island, a place that could easily be called paradise, since the summer of 2006, and every time I come, I visit Sip Sip at least once during my stay. The view is breathtaking with pristine pink sand, yes, that is indeed the color, and water in half a dozen different shades of blue to marvel at. The beach has been rated by various travel magazines as one of the world's Top 10. The view is the same rain or shine from the restaurant's deck, which takes up roughly half the restaurant space, and that is in a word spectacular. The owners, Jim and Julie, have done an exceptional job running this place on all fronts for 16 years and have many longtime staffers who have been along for the journey as well. Paige and Tina are just two of the names of wonderful staffers that come to mind. While the menu isn't very extensive, there is something for everyone, and I guarantee you'll come away from this dining experience with a big smile on your face. Grilled cheese is a perfect item for kids. All the ingredients are fresh, coming from various places on Harbour Island and neighboring islands in the Bahamas. You'll find all the specials posted every day on a chalkboard inside the restaurant next to the bar area. It's best if you take a photo and then go back to your table to ponder it over since inevitably you'll be torn deciding between three to four options. You can never go wrong with the lobster quesadilla. On the drink front, there are local beers Sands and Kalik and all the traditional tropical drinks you’d expect at a beachside restaurant. The Mango daiquiri is the best I’ve ever tasted. If the name Sip Sip sounds familiar, you may have heard of its other location at Atlantis, Paradise Island in Nassau at the Cove resort. Sip Sip has gotten a lot of positive PR in the past year, including a segment on “The Today Show” in conjunction with the opening, so while it's new on Nassau, you may have heard of it instead of the original Harbour Island restaurant because of its high visibility location. As the title of my review indicates, regardless if you have a week or a day, you must make time to visit Sip Sip during your time on Harbour Island. You'll be very glad you did and you'll never forget the delicious food, friendly people (Harbour Island is known as being the home to "Friendly People"), and spectacular view overlooking the Caribbean! Don't be on a tight schedule when you go. In fact, easily expect to spend a minimum of 90 minutes to two hours. You're on island time when you are there, and there should be nothing from stopping you live in the moment and enjoy every aspect of your experience at Sip Sip. There is a store with jewelry, household and clothing items, all carefully picked out by Julie, so you should be sure to stop in there and take some part of Sip Sip with you.

This place is quite a gem. You must have a reservation , and it is quite expensive (as is anything in the Bahamas) but the fish soup is well worth it. The hummus was also great. View can't be beat! I would come back for sure.
