I was on holiday in Cenac with nine members of our family and this was an evening meal booked for one of us having to return to England for work and if anyone is thinking of eating here in the evening the advice is to make a firm booking(a very busy restaurant) , as a chef trained in classical French cuisine in my working life I always enjoy eating out in France and the enjoyment of the evening with the food and drink was excellent. The menu had a wide choice to suit many people and the staff again exceptional.

Wonderful place for lunch. Typical small town French atmosphere but the menu is quite diverse. Menu of the day offered Pork, fish and beef. Came with a choice of two starters, a melon and ham dish and unique avocado mousse, slice of tomato, with very small shrimp and a raspberry on top of a pasty base dish. Desert was a strawberry mouse with syrup or mint chocolate mouse mint chocolate ice cream and a chocolate tart or a mango and cream tart. 21 euros per person. Good food, good value.

An amazing restaurant in a quiet town in France. So popular that you should book your table. Popular with both locals, very important, and visitors.
The food is scrummy and the choices good.
If in this area try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!!
If you have too much wine book in for the night, this restaurant is also a hotel. Double rooms are €65.
We were lucky our gite was just across the road.

Back in mid April of this year, my wife and I were lucky enough to be among the opening night guests at this great little restaurant in Cenac village. Our B&B host, Nicole, had recommended that we give the ladies a try, and she made a reservation for us. Naturally it was packed with locals giving this new dinning venue in town the big "thumbs up". Apparently the new owners had previously run a successful restaurant in the neighbouring village of Beynac. We had a most pleasant evening, with great attention to detail and service. The food and wine were perfect for this region of France. Not surprisingly we then returned several times during our five day stay in the Dordogne region. Many thanks ladies, and we hope all is still going well with your new venture.

This is a new restaurant in the main strip of Cenac, run by two women who previously ran a restaurant in nearby Beynac. What a great place! Fantastic food, imaginative and original, and not too expensive. Service was efficient and friendly, very informal and easy-going. And the price is very modest indeed, for what you get. Highly recommended!
