My daughter and I were made more-than welcome by Gerda. For a very reasonable E28 each she provided efficient private transport from and to the airport and also took us for free to the local large supermarket to stock up for the duration of our stay - do take advantage of this service as the time saved in shopping was invaluable and the quality and price could not be beaten (thank you Gerda for pressing us into this option). This, as well as the valuable advice she provided on transport and good places to visit made the holiday for us - particularly pointing us towards the Noale market held every Thursday in the main squares where the people were so happy to meet and talk with us and the food was cheap and so spectacular in quality, quantity and variety as to make our eyes water - don't miss this for heavens sake! The property was situated at the end of a quiet residential cul-de-sac of just four or properties or so only 10 minutes walk from the medeival walled town of Noale. The pictures really do not do justice to the comfort and space provided:the kitchen is enormous with a full cooker, microwave and massive fridge freezer among other such necessities, with a breakfast table and access to the sunny balcony through double glass doors, and had everything to be desired (although for English people a kettle might be useful and a couple of coffee mugs too!); the lounge is spacious and well furnished with a comfortable suite and dining table and chairs; the bedroom was airy, overlooking the rear garden and sharing the same balcony as the kitchen with plenty of storage and a huge comfortable bed; the shower room and toilet, though small, was 'perfectly formed' and totally adequate; a separate laundry / drying room was an asset. We had our own private and secure access to the front and rear wrap-round gardens, the latter giving on through a lockable gate to a vast grassed landscaped area providing a cut-through to the bus and train stations a short walk away (10 and 20 minutes respectively). My favourite aspect of the property was of course the lovely rear balcony lit at night for a relaxing read and overlooking the rear garden - morning coffee here was a must - although there was also seating on the front too which we did not have time to sample! The apartment was spotlessly clean in all respects - bed linen and separate duvets for comfort were thoughtfully provided by Gerda - and piles of towels already in the wardrobe for our use were constantly refurbished! We used public transport daily to take us to Venice (E6 each way), and to other medeival historic walled towns such as Bassano del Grappa, Padua, Treviso, Castelfranco - and definitely have to return to 'do' more of Venice which we only managed to squeeze in on two half days and a whole one!!!! - obviously we took too much advantage of the many opportunities for people-watching at the multitudinous tempting cafes and gelato stops to cram everything touristy in. And finally ... please do not hesitate to contact me about any aspect of this lovely apartment and / or any other 'need-to-know before-you-travel' aspect of your holiday.
