Older type of decor for a hotel room, but most importantly it's clean. The water pressure is good too. We have a junior suite at the fifth floor that have 2 balconies, one facing the main road, the other one facing the mountains and gold course. Quiet room as the hotel is separated from the main room by the car park and a big empty space. Good location too if you have a car, plenty of parking space, it's between the centre of Brinchang and Tanah Rata. Convenience shop and restaurant within minutes of walk next to it. The breakfast if of good quality for the price you pay. We had dinner (steak, lamb cutlet) at the hotel restaurant one night and were happy with the quality and portion. All the staff, the restaurant staff, the cleaners, the counter staff and the gardener are helpful and friendly.

We had out Buffet Steamboat at the Hotel De La Fern in Cameron Highland. At the beginning we had some issue with the staff and the explaination given to us but after that the Restaurant Manager Mr. Jeevan came to appologies on behalf of the staff and took a good care of us.

I appreciate the prompt action taken by Mr. Jeevan. The steamboat was superb, the tom yum soup was very nice, the Teh Tarik and the coffee was so delicious. With all the nice food and drinks we forget that we had some issue in the beginning.

I would recommend anyone come to visit Cameron Highland should try to have the steamboat buffet in Hotel De’ La Fern. Overall we are happy with the food and the ambiance.

Nice and cozy place to have a good high tea session. Decent meals too!
Should have a smoking area available as some would prefer to smoke.
Not much of choice of meals on the menu but they are still ok

Check-in was smooth and our room was ready when we arrived at 2.00pm.
The hotel staff was alert and helpful, coming to the carpark to help with our luggage.

Good to note that SOPs (mask, temperature check, social distancing) were in place and observed by guests and staff alike.

Our 2-bedroom (2 queens & 2 singles) family suite was spacious and clean, with the usual amenities. Being a corner unit, it had two balconies and lots of windows.

Initially, it felt strange not having an AC or fans. Natural ventilation via open windows and balcony works equally well, which was what we did. (if you don't mind the traffic noise)

Though we managed it, 6 persons sharing one bathroom is not ideal. I had read cases of hot water running out mid-shower, and was very relieved that all six of us managed to have uninterrupted hot showers. I liked that the bathroom was big and could easily accommodate a shower cubicle, which would have been more practical. As it is, the long bath is so yesterday, and was not cleaned properly.

Digital amenities need to be upgraded. With multiple handphones, iPads and camera between the six of us, power outlets for charging devices were insufficient.

The breakfast buffet offered nasi lemak, porridge, bread, pastry, fruit and hot meals (noodles, curry, etc). For me, the egg station is more than adequate to start my day on the right note. Anything else is a bonus.

Overall, WiFi is patchy and occasionally weak. Parking was not a problem, though I can't vouch for the weekend.

Throughout our stay, every single Hotel staff we encountered was polite and courteous. Housekeeping was very prompt to bring us items requested.

Will definitely consider staying here again. Located on the main road between Tanah Rata and Brinchang makes for convenient travel to all attraction spots.

Room tip: Heavy traffic & noisy till past midnight. Request for a room that does not face the main road, if you don't mind having no view.

This was my second stay at the hotel. Friendly staff, clean room, basic but decent breakfast, good location, plenty of parking spaces and nice view from the balcony. However, the carpet was a bit old and needs replacement (deluxe room).
