My room was just what I needed. Comfortable, clean, quiet, and the decor was plain and modest. Not just tea and coffee making facilities, but also hot chocolate and a variety of sweet treats as well. The shower was powerful and extremely clean. The room overlooks a very pretty garden, scattered with daffodils and primroses on one side, and a small yard and stable block on the other. Birds singing outside in the morning was a delight.

We were happily accommodated at the very last minute by the fabulous Carol, who welcomed us with tea and biscuits and a smile! Our room was well-equipped and beautifully presented, the beds comfortable, the view lovely...couldn't ask for anything more. I may never leave...

Excellent value for straightforward B and B...Carol made us very welcome when we arrived with home made chocolate cake and tea, comfy room, small but adequate shower and great cooked breakfast with fresh fruit and local apple juice

After a days kayaking we were met by the owner with a pot of tea and a home made Victoria sponge with fresh cream and raspberry's, it was a perfect end to a great day. The rooms were spacious and full of character with all mod cons provided. A God pub less than 30 secs away was a welcome retreat later in the evening but did not disrupt a well earned sleep. The real treat awaited us in the morning when we were greater by fresh fruit and yoghurt, delicious coffee and a breakfast fit for a king all set in a great breakfast room although the Cockerell could of been better behaved. A great night in a great place and will defiantly return when we retrace our steps next year. One of the best b&b''s I've stayed in, a view shared by my 6 nautical friends!

Carol, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming. she greeted us with coffee and homemade cake in the lounge after showing us our twin room. The room was lovely, airy, immaculate and with attention to detail. nothing was too much trouble and breakfasts were a delight. We enjoyed chatting with the owner very much and learning about the history of the region.
Many thanks for a lovely stay.
