Small friendly traditional pub. Lovely food. Massive range of gins. Real ales, good pies and fun quizzes.
Worth a visit. Often has live music. Trouble free. Beer garden. Raises a lot of money for local charities.

Pub just outside the town centre opposite a church. I arrived on a hot Friday afternoon after walking from Peterborough to find the bar open and busy and received a cheerful welcome. I was shown to a first floor room (room 4), facing the road at the end of a corridor.

The room was clean, smart and suitably furnished. The window toplight was open - a welcome sign on this hot day. Windows were double glazed and this was effective at night in keeping traffic and church bell noise at bay.

Decent mugs, a small pack of biscuits and tissues were provided. There was a choice of two well-appointed showers/wcs adjacent to the room (these were shared with at least one other room).

The bar had a good selection of beers on tap with what I took to be a good local clientele. Breakfast was served in the bar - no cereal or fruit, tea from a machine, orange juice and good scrambled eggs on toast with grilled tomato (full English available).

This pub is quite unpretentious. I felt very comfortable here. It was outstanding value.

Cider always on draught friendly welcome love a bit of banter with the landlord Bruce, fabulous beer garden / Terrace area. A friendly welcome is always assured from landlord Bruce and his team. There is a regular quiz night on a Tuesday evening and all the usual pub games darts dominoes and cards.

The Letter B is an excellent local pub to visit with a great range of well kept real ales. Also a very exstensive range of real ciders to suit every pallet. Fancy Gin there is plenty to choose from. Bed and breakfast available with excellent home cooked food. Great for contractors.

A great local friendly pub. Fantastic selection of real ales and ciders. Either drink in the bar area or the lounge there is also a beer garden that is going to be a sun trap on a sunny Sunday afternoon in the summer
