If you're looking for a quiet stay with a group then this would be a good place for you. It's difficult to get into town, unless you rented a scooter which a lot of people did. Food isn't that great. Rooms have a lot of ants and the shower isn't really a shower, just a removable shower head above the toilet. I actually got stuck in the bathroom since the door broke, we asked for it to get fixed, waited a half hour, then had to remind the owner to come fix it. Rooms are also really hot without AC.

Lovely secluded beach with an amazing view, nothing special about the rooms but such an amazing time relaxing for 2 days. Beautiful having a drink on a hammock and watching the sunset. Would definitely reccomed to get away from the tourist crowds!

This is a charming and secluded beach getaway that helped me recharge after several weeks of backpacking. Upon arrival in Krabi Town, I called Pine Bungalow and they sent staff to pick me up (about a 30 minute drive from Krabi Town to Klong Muang). During my entire stay, the staff was extremely friendly and happy to answer my questions. My A/C room was near the edge of their property, very secluded. The room was comfortable, with plenty of space and hot water from the shower. Housekeeping is upon request, and was efficient the one time I requested it. As many other reviews have mentioned, the food and drink menu is probably large enough to have chapters, and the kitchen does not disappoint. Over four days, I tried something different for every meal, and everything was excellent. The beach can be a little rocky depending upon the tide, but if you walk 10 minutes up the road to the entrance of Klong Muang Beach, you can explore several km of additional beach, as well a cluster of resorts and beach bars. Staff was also quite helpful in directing me to some hiking opportunities around the island (Tab Kak Hang Nak Hill was particularly nice). Solo travelers might feel a bit lonely, as the clientele is mostly couples and groups, but I wanted a quiet place where I could read and explore at my leisure, so Pine was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay in Pine Bungalow a low. We had a bungalow in the first line, sea facing. Overall well maintained, not perfect, but working and very reasonably priced.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and were very pleased with all meals, includings fruits. Also the food is very reasonably priced.
We enjoyed the tranquility of the place away from the hectic. The sea was calm and easy to swim, even a bit of fish and a few remains of corals to see. There must have been more in earlier years. The beach is not as big and sand not as fine as in many Phuket beaches, but you have it almost for yourselves.
Ao Nang is not really far away and shops and other restaurants are within an easy walking distance.

This is seriously the quietest beach around Krabi. When we arrived my ears were ringing when I went to look at the water, dead quiet. There is only one small property next door, may be the owners place, but the rest of the beach has no one. There is a Royal palace down at the end of the peninsula, so development is restricted. You can hear the chants from the marine base across the road at night, but only in the distance. As for the place itself, we stayed in a 'near beach air' bungalow. The pictures of the room are pretty accurate, as were most of the reviews we read about the place. No frills, but clean and comfortable. If you are the type of traveler that needs lots of amenities, you probably aren't considering this place anyway. One nice perk of this place was that even for such a small 'resort', they will still help you out with booking tours. They are I am sure taking a cut for themselves, but the prices will be about the same as if you were to drive in to Ao Nang, but without the headache, the tour (or boat) will come to get you! They will also make you food to go on any all day tours, which brings me to my next topic, THE FOOD!! Everything that we had here was pretty excellent. They have a huge variety of food for such a small place. Prices are higher than restaurants in town, but not by much. Most of the head waitstaff are pretty good with English, so if you have any special requests, just let them know. We ate here almost every meal for a week, had lots of beer and frozen drinks, and had laundry done twice. At the end of the week, my tab was only 7300 baht or $205 USD, which was more than the room cost. Hell of deal if you ask me! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. If you plan on staying here and snorkeling, you need to plan on not being able to swim at the beach when the tide is out. It is all rock at low tide, but can be fun to go see what sea life gets caught up in the tidal pools. When I first booked, I had to go through agoda to make the reservation. Most places will email a separate confirmation, or at least respond if you email them. Pine Bungalow never responded, even when I used google translate to copy the text to Thai. So I was a little worried. But when I arrived, they guessed my name before I could tell them who I was.

Overall, we loved our stay here. We traveled around the area quite a bit, but never passed any place that we wished we would have booked instead of Pine Bungalow!

Room Tip: Spring for the beach view air-conditioned room.
