The Irish Rover is a 400 m walk up from the main Ao Nang beach and is off the main eastern road that goes towards Krabi Town, there is a short steep climb up to the pub from the road. We found this a good stopping point on our way back to the resort which was quite a good distance away. On very hot and humid days the air conditioning and a couple of pints go down very well with good typical every day Irish pub food. There is live music some evenings but it can get quite full and noisy at times especially during soccer games so not always a good spot in the evenings if you just want to relax.

The food is good and plenty.
Very noisy ,tv on all the time .OK if you just want to drink something cold ,but if you are going to eat the noise is to much

Thought we would get a nice meal in here and a decent pint but sadly a lot of drinks advertised were not available.

The food and drink is expensive for what you get, not just for imported goods.

Didn't rate the sandwiches - I'd ordered the cheaper 'sliced bread' version but got the more expensive baguette brought out - same filling but more expensive. As we'd waited so long, just ate it. Others in our group had a small pizza - barely anything on it and the none of the dishes came with any extras like fries as in most places. Not impressed with service or quality of the food.

The location is up a side street so no view of the beach and place is quiet dark.

It was nice to get a refreshing Magners as this is more difficult to find in Thailand, I accept this was more pricey due to the import.

Sorry Irish Rover but there are nicer and cheaper places in Ao Nang.

Always great to find a Irish pub, The Irish Rover is a great bar, unfortunately we were there for the Soccer and it was super empty. The beer is good and the staff are friendly, would definitely visit again soon.

Was excited when we found this place as it is tough to find off the main strip. Great look to the place - but they had no air conditioning on, and refused to turn it on for me and my family. Then they were out of Guinness! The manager was very unwelcoming and appeared to not want any business.
