We came here after a tour and visited this poor animals. They look so bad, get treated in a shame way and can't live their live. It is so bad to see this and we would never come back.
Hint: Mind this place and go on a better place
Nothing much. Don't waste your time coming here. But the lady owner was a nice lady. We finished going 1 round within 10mins
Animals in poor condition, small enclosures. I regret ever going there. The area cold be so beautiful but the owners seem to think tourists love visiting the dump.
We were taken here after elephant trekking and it was an awful experience.
From the outside the grounds are very run down with lots of junk outside.
On entering the farm there was a monkey chained up, it was clearly very distressed, a young girl was trying to untangle the chain but this seemed to be distressing the monkey more.
We were given a bag of fish pellets by our guide, we then walked into an open area which can only be described as an animal graveyard, lots of skulls etc.
There was a metal cage to the left with 5/6 tortoises in it. The water was dirty and the food in the cage was mouldy.
We were led across the wobbly bridge which safe enough and taken to see the 'giant catfish' there has been a lot of rain so the water was murky and we couldn't see the fish. We threw in some food and you could see mouths appearing to eat it.
The trail around the farm is very unkept so be careful and make sure you wear mosquito repellent!
We were shown to the crocodile enclosure and it was barely visible through the dirty water. It was hard to see the size of the croc but the enclosure was quite small.
We were given the option to continue on looking at more animals but we couldn't bring ourselves to. From start to finish we were there around 8 minutes and none of that was enjoyable.
Everyone is different and entitled to their opinions in my opinion - I'd avoid this place!
Such a fantastic experience, the animals have a brilliant life and are treated well, unlike some other parts of Thailand. There's so much more than just catfish to see - there are crocodiles, baby goats, ducks, a monkey (who I was able to go swimming with!), a huge Amazonian arapaima which was bigger than me, and elephants in the neighbouring field. We absolutely loved this trip and it felt like a true, raw adventure. The family who run the place are wonderful - a Thai father and American mother with their two daughters. The entry and drinks are very cheap and you can feed the animals - there is no excuse not to go! Support ethical and moral tourism and get a true taste of Thailand.
This place is like its owner, a bit eccentric. It really is set in the jungle, the paths are like jungle paths, overgrown but to me, my wife and our four year old son, this added to the mystique!
We saw, the pig, the crocodile (the one low point, in a cement hole with no water) the arapiema, elephants, skinks, a large lizard and a wild vine snake (this is the jungle).
It's bare bones (literally at some points), rickety, run down, but it's genuine and we loved it.
