We booked the only Family Villa in the resort which is a MASSIVE 2-storey bungalow set apart from the rest of the resort rooms. It was spotless and had ample space for kids to run around in (our 13-month old went wild). Nice touch on having children books stocked in the book shelves as well. The bedrooms are very spacious, one of them upstairs even had its own Jacuzzi! The service in this resort is also flawless, everyone was friendly and food was brought to the villa promptly when room service was ordered. The location of the resort is also very ideal: it is directly on the busy Ao Nang road that leads to the beach, however, it is built in a way that the rooms are all well away from the hustle and bustle so you really do get a quiet retreat when you return to your room. The resort itself is very pretty and green with the cliff behind it. There are even a couple of resident macaws living there!
There are 2 reasons why Aonang Paradise didn't get a full 5 stars from us.
1. There is a big gaping space under the staircase of the Family Villa which is very dangerous for children as it is easy to fall into and they can sustain serious injuries. We had to put up a makeshift barricade around it to make sure this didn't happen. Perhaps management can look into this? Was it supposed to be an indoor pool?
2. The Breakfast here is really not good. The bread was dry, the scrambled eggs were very overdone and the cooked food such as fried noodles was very oily. There wasn't much of a selection too. We preferred to head out for breakfast every day instead.
All in all, we would definitely return to this resort again for a family holiday as we had a fantastic time! Thank you to all the staff here!
