Nice long beach to walk along, watching the longboats bobbing about in the water. Love that Thai beaches do not allow sun beds to spoil the natural beauty.

The beach here is great, but the influx of mass tourism isn’t doing it all very well. And with mass tourism, I mean the type of tourist that just want to stay in a big resort and walk for about two square kilometre in the vicinity of it, eat as much western food as possible but say they’ve been to Thailand. It’s a shame actually.

Ao Nang is a great hub for the islands. Very convenient if you don’t want to travel for hours over land before you hit the islands. There are still some hidden gems around Ao Nang Beach if you know where to don’t them, but the beach seems to has lost the battle against mass tourism.

The water was calm and the depth was gradual so I enjoyed swimming, though the water was not that much clear as compared to other parts of Karabi and Phuket.
