Frequent Ensenada alot and really haven't found many sure thing restaurants except Shalom.

Tried this place as we were leaving this morning and happened to see a billboard that they serve breakfast all day and it was late already.

Seen the place many times and decided to try it. Not a friendly hostess but so what we ignored her.

Waiter was friendly and young so i forgave him for a tremendous error he made. One of the party was a 16 year old girl. She orders a sangria and he brings it to her without questions asked. I immediately asked to taste it and naturally it had wine. I asked the waiter to please take it away as she is way too young to drink. I checked the bill and he didnt charge us.

On to the great meals. 2 if us had this egg plates cooked in a small pan. I think it was called fritatta. Anywaays delicious and came with polenta which is a xpuree of corn. Delicious. They also brougjt some garlic bread with 3 types of dip. Great taste that we ordered more bread twice but they never brought it out. Oh well i was just happy that the food was good.

Someone else had a tomato salad which was unusual but great taste and also a creme spaghetti was ordered and was just ok. Overall ill go back.

we visited here on a saturday evening, sat at one of the tables outside under the awning. everything we ordered was very good: the spinich salad was out of this world, the pastas very tasty. other friends had recommended pizza, but we didn't try it. the steak my husband ordered was a little tough, but had good flavor. the waitress was super friendly and efficient and the restaurant was very quaint. i would highly choose this little italian restaurant over di santo, that people rave about. we were there the night before, and yes the fare is delicious, but the atmosphere is far from friendly. we had pasta two nights in a row, before and after the 40 mile ruta de vino bike ride!

We've eaten at Ristorante La Forchetta several times over the past couple of years and took my Mom there for dinner while overnighting in Ensenada the other night. We shared a lovely salad and pizza (from their wood-fired oven) with a bottle of Italian Chianti. To start, they served thin slices of focaccia with olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well as an excellent trio of house-made sauces: roasted chile, pesto, and tomato with chile and peanut. The service was attentive and the quality of food was very good. The restaurant is conveniently located for us, reasonably priced, and consistent with its service and food quality. We enjoyed our meal very much after a long day of driving and will return to this restaurant again.

The food is good, but if you want to drink something different than wine is very bad. The sparkling water has no "bubbles" so is the same as natural water.. they only serve one kind of juice that is not natural and dont taste good so i strongly dont recommend it (and they should tell that the juice is not natural). I went there twice, in hot days and inside the restaurant was VERY hot.. don't know why they dont turn on the air conditioning. The food is good, good pasta and also the waiter is very kind but it has these issues.. so I won't come back again.
