The best feature of the hotel is that it’s close to many local amenities. The biggest problem is that the internet connection is terrible. It’s hard to believe that a hotel in 2018 is unable to provide reliable internet. Speed varies between 200 kbps to around 1.5 mbps with an average of under 1 mbps. Can’t really use that to watch video. My phone LTE service is so much faster. Also it intermittently drops out.
Breakfast is complementary and reasonable considering the hotel price. The gym is a bare minimum. One treadmill, one cycle, one elliptical and some weights. Has a tv but it doesn’t work. Most of the staff doesn’t speak English. However they are friendly and courteous. Both the security guards who speak reasonable English are the most helpful.
The large room has a refrigerator and a microwave. The refrigerator is tiny and low quality. Cannot control temperature. Too many items end up being frozen even though there is no “freezer” compartment as such.
They don’t change the sheets as frequently as they should. But will do so upon request.
Hotel is close to main Tijuana mall and shopping as well as cultural center. Also less than 10 minutes from U.S. border.
Overall a reasonable value for the money but the internet issues could be a deal breaker for some.More
