Eco friendly boutique desert hotel! In a virgin private beach with great food and beverage. The service is a great plus and they are willing to help you in all you need! Pet friendly and with a great pool.

We have enjoyed Todos Santos for many, many years. After staying at Rancho Pescadero for 17 times in the past 7 years we decided to try something new to start 2018 and we are so glad we did! We had a most wonderful weeks stay. San Cristobal is a very cool boutique hotel - rustic and chic at the same time. The hotel has a clean and serene design - all in white - with white loungers and white Touch umbrellas. The grounds have a handsome variety of palms, cacti and grasses and the entry graces you with colorful bougainvilleas and pineapple fields.
We stayed in an upper floor King Ocean Room. Although the room felt small at first it really had all we needed. What we thought small in interior space was more than made up for in the super deck with comfy L shaped couch and the outside/inside shower (with plenty of hot water and pressure) that provided stunning unobstructed views of the ocean and sky. The sun rose behind the hotel over the sculptural mountains which gives a most wonderful morning show of color and then the sun sets over the sea providing a most glorious light show at days end. We were there for the Super Moon and incredible to see the moon rise over the mountains and then set over the ocean. We watched nightly sunsets from our deck and even saw two green flashes (yes they do exist!)
We so loved how close the hotel and room was to the beach. Screens on the doors let us keep the doors open and listen to the crashing of the waves all nights and enjoy cool air. The beds and bedding were super comfy.

The staff was all very friendly and helpful - from Dulce who checked us in and took us to our room to Jonathan and Jesus who were happy to make our margaritas with our recipe. We were greeted warmly from Sergio and Victor who were longtime Rancho staff. David, the concierge, was very helpful with all our questions. Meghan the GM is a delight! She is hands on and really cares about the hotel, her staff and all the guests. Her smile is so welcoming!
With SC being such a small hotel there was ample variety of private areas besides our room to relax and take in stunning Baja views - the cozy library, the pool bar with those wonderful soft Mexican fabric pillows, the little lounge outside the main bar with fireplace, the little known upstairs sitting area above the mountain view rooms. We enjoyed loungers by the pool, on the beach and little chairs by the water's edge.
The beach is clean and wide. We walked forever without seeing anybody and hardly any other structure. We saw many whales, rays and even dolphin.
I enjoyed the little boutique - suntan lotions, several local artisan pieces, linen works by my favorite dosa line and cool simple bathing suits from the hard to find Australian company Mateau.
The only thing we did not like was that the hotel opened up their space - pool and all - to outsiders for a day pass for approximately $28. The hotel is pricey for the area and I am paying for quiet/exclusivity and do not wish to share with day trippers from Cabo and La Paz. The property is too small for this. I think (hope) the policy for this may be changing!
The Food Program has potential but definitely has room to grow. This area has endless fresh seafood possibilities and local produce galore. We got a tour of the kitchen. It was spotlessly clean and they have state of the art equipment so the potential is there for providing guests awesome and varied meals. The food not good enough to keep us there so we dined at Santa Fe Cafe every day which is a quick and easy drive.

Bottom line is we are happy that we now have another ocean front option in Todos
Santos/Pescadero area. We can't wait to return!

Room Tip: I would splurge for an Ocean Front Room

My husband and I were looking for a quiet, serene, low key venue for our wedding. On a whim, we came across this adorable hotel located outside Todos Santos. We emailed and heard back fairly quickly from Judy, the amazing event coordinator at the Hotel.

Never having visited the area before, and planning a wedding on short notice, Judy totally put us at ease. She put us in touch with local vendors in the area and ensured us not to over-prepare, it was under control.

Fast forward a few months, we landed in Cabo and made the spectacular drive along the coast to Hotel San Cristobal. It exceeded ALL expectations. The hotel was cozy, the staff felt like family, and the amenities made us feel luxurious. David at Hotel San Cristobal was kind enough to organize a few getaways for our family - one of the many memorable highlights of our trip.

We stayed a full week and yes, the hotel is beautiful. But more importantly, we *felt like we were at home*. Both my husband and I love to travel to new places, but I think we've found a spot in Hotel San Cristobal where we plan to visit yearly.

I highly recommend this spot. Slow down and enjoy the sunset.

Room Tip: Mountain suites are spectacular.

My daughter and I were renting a beautiful home in Pueblo Pescadero but wanted a day to ourselves poolside. We got a day pass at this hotel and were royally treated. The chaises had pull up canopies and the towels were provided. We ordered drinks and lunch and everything was excellent. The staff spoke English and were friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is charming and we will definitely stay there another time. In the afternoon the fishing pangas return to the beach with fresh fish and you can watch them roar onto the beach from the high surf.Very entertaining!

This is the perfect place for a quiet, recharge Mexico beach vacation. San Cristobal Hotel is quiet place to slow down and enjoy the gorgeous natural surroundings in a relaxed and intimate hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are adequate size with comfortable beds (high quality linens). Most rooms (if not all) have a porch with couch and chairs. Our room was in the middle of the resort (pool/mountain facing). I\ am not sure, but the place has a bit of the feel of a eco-resort. There are filtered water stations provided around the resort to reduce the use of plastic water bottles.

David the concierge is awesome. He has extensive knowledge of the area, asks the right questions to gather appropriate knowledge and guest preferences and sets everything up. He set up a couple surf mornings for us and recommended lunch spots in that area which were great. David and the staff really made us feel as if we were part of the hotel family for our 3 day stay. As a small and intimate hotel, the staff here make all the difference and pushes up from 4 to 5 stars.

The on premise restaurant was lovely. Nothing pretentious. Locally sourced protein (fish, pork, steak) and veggies make for a tasty, authentic meal in a gorgeous setting listening to the waves crash. The sunsets are spectacular as the resort and pool are oriented west. The pool area was never overcrowded, just enough activity to have a good low key "buzz"/guest activity.

What Hotel San Cristobal IS: An intimate, chic boutique with top notch/white glove service/staff. No TVs on premise, there is high speed wifi. If waking up to waves crashing on the beach, having breakfast on the veranda followed by yoga and then a day of surfing to return to the friendly staff for a sunset drink listening to a local band by the fire is your thing, then this is the place. My observation was overwhelmingly couples, with some young families.

What Hotel San Cristobal is NOT: This is not a large, impersonal, cookie cutter hotel on the beach. It is not a "Cabo" party hotel.

I will be back sooner than later. SHC is a one of a kind product offering: hotel, surroundings, hotel grounds and staff. Thank you
