We came here on December 21 and we will be leaving tomorrow, December 28, but I can't wait until we get home to write this so I go ahead with the review on our last day in this hotel from heaven! First off, unlike all negative press reports we heard about Acapulco before we left (we actually considered cancelling our trip), we felt perfectly safe at all the places along the beach close by the hotel within 20 minutes of taxi drive. Next, as compared to numerous other hotels we stayed in in the last 5 years (from The Peninsula in HongKong to Sheraton Hawaii), this one is unbeatable as far as service goes. From the people at the desk, the concierge (Osiris), the Internet technician (Miguel), the Jeep drivers (as transportation within the resort is complimentary via pink Jeeps!), the pool cleaning guy, to the cleaning and room services people, ALL are amongst the most courteous and service oriented you can find. They can't wait to service you, and they are so nice. And they act like they camp right outside your rooms because as soon as you place a call they show up! Well, I am of course exagerating a little bit but you get the point.
All the good restaurants are close by, within 100 pesos or so a ride distance. We'd recommended Sirocco for paellas, Zibu for Thai food, Becco and Baikal for Italian, and Harry's in Las Islas Shopping Mall (20 minutes away) for steak. The food at the hotel (Bella Vista, I believe) is also excellent, and service is unbeatable. Also, watching the divers at night is also a must!
My wife, my grad school age daughter, and myself we have spent several days last year during this same season in Cabo and Puerto Vaillarta, but this time, at THIS hotel, is memorable. We stay in a Beach Club with Private Pool Casita and the view of the bay is unbelievable. We will come back very soon!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon back in July, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience.

We planned much of our trip over email before we arrived with the Chief Concierge Osiris Torres, who was incredibly helpful.

As soon as our plane landed in Acapulco we were greeted by a car that Osiris had arranged to pick us up. We expected a standard taxi but instead were greeted by Angel Flores and his air-conditioned Lincoln Town car. (More on Angel in a separate review, he was fantastic by the way.)

When we arrived at Las Brisas we were greeted by the very attentive staff and ushered into their main lobby. When inside they handed us cool, damp towels and their pink margaritas. Osiris was there to greet us and answer any questions that we might have.

Once checked in, the trademark Pink jeeps took us up to our casita. The pictures online don't give this hotel justice. As it was our honeymoon, Osiris had arranged, without our knowledge, a special decoration for us (see picture).

The casita has a small bar inside, with a fridge, sink, plates, glasses & eating utensils. Our casita had a small outside bed and a table (perfect for eating room service outside) and two steps down was our own personal, very private pool and a view of Acapulco bay.

On the way to the hotel, we stopped at a grocery store to stock up on soda, liquor, beer, and snacks. We had our own food and drinks rather than the minibar when we laid by our pool, which ended up saving us a ton of money.

After we got all unpacked we called down to the lobby and requested recommendations for dinner. One of the recommendations was El Bellavista (at the hotel). The food was fantastic, view was romantic and service was excellent. Yuri the Maître D made us feel like we were one of the family. We ended up eating here several evenings, somewhat because of the food quality, but more because of Yuri. (We also ate at Kookaburra and Baikal - I highly recommend both.)

Everyone at this hotel made you feel like you were royalty (I should mention that tipping is worked into your total bill for a daily flat rate and you are not allowed to give more anywhere).

Our goal for this trip was relaxation and Las Brisas did not disappoint.

What you get for the price at Las Brisas is amazing! Our Beach Club Casita had the most wonderful view of the Acapulco Bay. The service is awesome! The first day we went to the local Walmart and stocked up on beer & wine...the staff at Las Brisas gave us a cooler for our beer and brought ice everyday! (they do have a small fridge filled with mini-bar items). You can also exchange $ at Walmart (bring passport!). The sunset bar is GREAT! perfect to watch the sunset and to meet other guests. The bartender, Leo, is wonderful! The breakfast restaurant up top (the Tulip) is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I highly recommend it! The service and food is outstanding (About $15 USD per person) You must try the "green power" or anti-stress juice concoctions at the Tulip...yummy!
The Bella Vista restaurant is the main dinner place...great view! Very romantic...some food is great some is okay. I had the sea bass and it was okay. My husband's beef was good and the ahi tuna appetizer was great! Yuri, the manager, is wonderful and very helpful and friendly.
The beach club (you must take a van down to it) is nice. At first I was bummed there wasn't a sandy beach, but I really enjoyed the salt water pool that goes out to the ocean. We snorkeled several times...it was really neat! They also have regular pools too! It was so lovely hanging out drinking pina coladas!
I highly recommend the "100% Natural Restaurant" chains in Acapulco. Healthy & cheap! The sunset cruise was one of the high lights for sure! Awesome! Absolutely beautiful and drinks were included. We went on the 4:30 pm criuse to see the sunset. Very very nice.
I want to mention...when we arrived at the Acapulco airport, we were approached by "city tour" guides. They offered us dinner at La Pearla, a sunset cruise, and a city tour for $140 for both of us if we looked at another resort (Mayan Palace). We took it! They insisted it was not a time share. Just know...IT IS A TIME SHARE! We got a free breakfast and it took almost half a day (2 days after we arrived it was scheduled), but to us it was worth seeing a resort in the new diamond area and we got a steal on the 3 tours. They were very high pressured, and didn't want to take no for an answer. I finally had to get a little rude in order for them to back off. So just be warned!
Our city tour was not that great...it was with some random guy. I saw many reviews for Rudy before our vacation, who is a tour guide in Acapulco. We actually saw him while in Alcapulco (my husband recognized him)...the people in his group said he was amazing! So try and find Rudy the tourguide's website!
All in all...we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Acapulco! We hope to go back next year! I highly recommend the "Beach Club Casita Level"...it's private and higher up the mountain.
The staff lay fresh hibiscus all over your room and private pool. Just lovely.

We stayed at the hotel in November this year, which is a good time, as it `s fairly quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, we stayed in a master suite on the 5th level, our room was fantastic and the view from our balcony was awesome. The restaurants were all very good and the food was excellent. If you do fancy a change and want to eat out, there are two outstanding restaurants just an 80 pesos taxi ride from the hotel, the Kookabura and the Zimbu which are good value. If you want to venture out and see the sights as we did, (the cliff divers, swim with the dolphins and hire your own boat for the day), we can recommend Angel Flores who provided an outstanding service. Angel picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, and took us where ever we wanted to go. He was a fantastic guide who was friendly reliable and made the trips pleasurable in his new air conditioned people carrier. (angelinacapulco@gmail.com)We will certainly being going back to Las Brisas for another romantic experience

We have just returned from one week at Las Brisas and I have been writing this review in my head for days now. I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel and its warm, friendly and resourceful staff, it's stunning views and its comfortable rooms and grounds. And, I also need to state that we did not feel unsafe at any time we were there, despite the recent news accounts coming out of that area.

First, the room: high thread count, private pool, breakfast delivered each morning - what more needs to be said? The view of the City from our room (443) was amazing and breathtaking.

Next, the service. For a hotel that caters to a more affluent, and thus typically demanding crowd, we experienced not one drop of "attitude" from its staff. Osiris, the Chief Concierge is so lovely and over-the-top helpful. While she is juggling thirty different tasks and dozens of phone calls, she takes time out to chat and make you feel like you are visiting with an old friend and are the most important person there. And, let's not forget some of the other stellar staff that made our visit so memorable: Eduardo (at the Concierge desk), Victor (at La Concha Beach Club) and Leonardo (at the Sunset Bar), Everyone there - from the front-desk staff to housekeeping to the jeep drivers - are exceptional.

La Concha Beach Club is a must-do. Plan to spend at least one day lounging by the freshwater lagoon pool or jumping in the regular swimming pool overlooking Santa Lucia Bay and the City. We recommend asking for Table 11 - if you prefer sit-down service at the Club's restaurant.

While we were there, we had the pleasure of having Angel Flores as our driver. He is a consummate professional, very kind and helpful and a very safe and good driver. He toured us around the City to the more popular landmarks one day, and then we asked to see some of the more local spots another day, including the Central Market, which was huge and fascinating, but is not for the thin skinned, as it could be an assault on the senses. But, he will take you anywhere you want to go, including Taxco, the silver mining town which is about 3 hours away. Angel can be reached through the hotel's Concierge desk or at angelinacapulco@gmail.com, and we highly recommend him. For smaller, local stops, taxis are always convenient and available near the hotel lobby.

The food: in a word: Yum. Here is a list of restaurants that we recommend (and we are picky):

- Su Casa - a must-do
- Zibu - Mexican Thai food, unique setting
- Becco al Mare - amazing views, decent food
- Hotel Encanto - good for Sunset, cocktails or dinner in a unique architectural setting
- Banyan Tree - good for Sunset and Spa Treatments -restaurant's food is quite good
- Esmirna del Mar in Barra Vieja - great grilled seafood on the sand

Note: Go see the cliff divers, but do not eat at La Perla - just go for cocktails.

Ahhhhhh. Writing this review makes me want to return to Acapulco...Somehow, I am sure we will.
