We were originally headed to another restaurant only to find out it was closed for vacation. Saw Lukumbe up the street and decided to check it out. A nice family style restaurant. Quickly seated and nice waiters. Large menu and we decided on pasta. I had a Fettuccini Alfredo and my wife had the Fettuccini Pesto. Both were good. Sauces on both were tasty. I was a bit disappointed with the lunch meat ham instead of real chunks of ham but it was ok. The real treat of the night was the chocolate cake we had for desert. We both have to say this was probably the best chocolate cake we have had while living in PV for the last 6 years! And it is made in house. We will be back and plan on trying their pizza and of course the chocolate cake.

First, the aromatic coffee flavor that hits your sense. The brew their own grown local coffee.
The menu is a variety of local and regional dishes. This time, I ordered a green Omelet, a well seasoned green sauce (very mild) stuffed with soft white cheese and sautéed green Poblano Chiles, this comes with their staple Chilaquiles and re fried beans. Also they serve the delicious made to order Tortillas ( a lady is nearby cooking them ) after infinity cups of the excellent coffee, and a sweet, coconut filled pastry, I ordered a cup of fruit, all of the fruit is local, since Puerto Vallarta is a Subtropical city. ( only bad, no A/C in the restaurant) but live it large, live it local. All of this for only a few Pesos.
The Staff is great, young ladies and guys, always on top to take care of you with eternal smiles. Very well done at Restaurant Cafe Lukumbè

Walked in to get a snack, got a excellent pizza, looked at their menu and was amazed what they offered at such a small price and they also have a team that is dedicated to customers and makes your tip there the most rewarding you would ever want.
Excellent entertainment for children after they eat and you enjoy small talk over a drink, or glass of wines, coffee, tea, cool local non alcoholic drinks.
