I stayed here whilst on a business trip to Guadalajara and to be honest we selected it for proximity to the office I was working at, however boy did we luck out. This place was excellent. The staff here are really friendly and more than happy to speak in the language of your choice, even if it's a really poor imitation of the real thing (My Spanish is not of world class standards, to say the least). The room I stayed in was spacious and at the top of the building had a really beautiful view over the city of Guadalajara.

Facilities wise I lacked for nothing, the bed was super comfy and really quite extravagantly large, the bathroom sparkling clean with plenty of hot water (and included some good quality consumables) and with plenty of soft clean towels, there was great wifi connectivity and lots of thoughtful touches like USB charges in all the power points and lights control reachable from both of the beds. The large tv had more channels on it than is really sensible, mostly in Spanish but there are a couple of English options.

Our room included breakfast in the morning, which is a buffet affair with both hot and cold options all of which was pretty tasty (I sampled a lot of the hot foods as most of it was stuff I had never seen before). You can also ask for a number of things that are cooked to order, eggs, quesadilla and the like. As an added bonus they are _super_ quick to fill your cup with coffee when you sit down, there are also juice and tea options if coffee isn't your thing.

Next time I come to visit this beautiful friendly city I will be staying here again.

Room Tip: If you like natural light and a view, ask for a room numbered between 7 and 10 (regardless of floor)

This hotel has only feather pillows so, if you are allergic make sure to ask to the manager to change them, they have low maintenance on them, really bad! Breakfast buffets quite small, salty and fatty food, make sure your room has no door between the next one, you can hear everything, is just one small bad installed and thin door.

Purpose/length of trip: three nights to explore Guadalajara and vicinity.

We pondered between a hotel in El Centro Historico vs Arcos Vallarta (La Minerva area). After experiencing both neighborhoods, I can now say I may the right choice.

Krystal Urban is a sharp sleek hotel that will visually satisfy you and physically comfort you. The positives far outweighed the negatives but I'll break it down.

The pluses: Contemporary look and feel, attentive staff (seemed like they new us), felt secure (security cameras helped), ample restaurant seating, nice bar/coffee area (next to the lobby), comfortable room with all the necessities (ac, safe, closet with iron, flat screen tv, desk, lounge chair, fridge), fitness center, underground parking, good WI-FI, and location (mall and plenty of trendy restaurants and bars nearby).

The minuses (only two): was not advised of the amenities the hotel had to offer and the noise from a local club was overpowering. It runs starting Thursday to probably Sunday and It will probably have you changing to an interior room. Supposedly this club has been shut down a few times but keeps opening back up.

In summary, we loved our stay and I would recommend Krystal Urban to my friends and family. We wanted to stay in a safe neighborhood where you can walk around at night and this fit perfectly. We used Uber to visit Tlaquepaque, El Centro Historico, and Tequila!

Nice hotel, clean, well appointed room, all the usual modern conveniences. The hotel staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English. My only complaint is that the towels were rough and frayed around the edges. Also there was essentially no information in the room about the hotel (for example the hours and menu of the restaurant) or the surrounding area.
