Though there are better food options throughout the city, the jolly atmosphere and friendly service make this a great first stop. We arrived late (9pm) and trotted out to this spot as it was only a few blocks from our hotel. The michelada I had totally hit the spot. Not as many options for vegetarians but my meat-eating fiancee sampled 3 different tamales and enjoyed them! (Note: the tamales are massive!!)

The mariachis were a fun, welcoming touch. We didn't return but it is absolutely worth stopping in for a drink or bite at least once if you're staying nearby :)

Great authentic cuisine in the Historic section. Good food & service; Nice to see servers were dressed in traditional dress. Nice mariachi band touring the restaurant. Clean & bright. Busy.

One of our favorite meals. Ate before the performance at Belles-Artes. Music was incredible. Some favorites were beach tacos and chile verde enchiladas/green enchiladas; some least favorites were the 4 types of chicken platter (that just sounds not good :). Standouts were the service and the house cocktail with mezcal which I think is the most unusual and delicious cocktail I have ever had! I would go back easily. We walked in around 7 w/o a reservation.
