We encountered Casa Gonzalez while searching for affordable options in Mexico City. The reviews were good and prices amazing so we gave it a try. It exceeded our hopes. Our friendly welcome was followed by a delicious meal served at communal tables with guests from around the world. Each meal was an adventure as we discussed our tours and world affairs.

Our room was basic, but at the price we paid it was wonderful.
There is no pool.
The staff was very attentive. The grounds were charming.

The location is spectacular-- near the Zona Rosa and Paseo de la Reforma. We walked to Chapultepec Castle and Park, and the National Museum of Anthropology.

For a refreshing, simple, welcoming, and very affordable stop in Mexico City Casa Gonzalez is an excellent choice. We will return.

We stayed for 4 nights as a couple in this beautiful Casa, and we're very happy with the quality of accommodation. We had a huge room, with a balcony, so plenty of room to spread out.
The breakfasts were enormous and filling, and were served in a beautiful, light filled dining room, with huge lead light windows letting the morning sun in.
It was my second time staying at Casa Gonzalez, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Visited CDMX for the first time in December 2016 for five nights, and I am so glad I chose Casa Gonzalez. So close to the Paseo and La Zona Rosa, with so many interesting places to eat, drink and explore. The staff is incredible, and the attendants worked hard at keeping everything spotless. And a real joy was the family room setting of their cafeteria--fantastic for getting to know other fellow travelers from the world over. I will definitely be staying at Casa Gonzalez again when I return to La Ciudad de Mexico!!

What a find! I have been looking for years for a place just like Hotel Casa Gonzales! It is charming, intimate, cheerful, the rooms and bright and relaxing, and the restaurant serves great food and has a very professional staff. I have been telling all my friends about Casa Gonzales and I know I will be staying there whenever I get to the DF.

Room tip: I like a room with a bathtub.

I stayed here in January 2017 and I was happy with my stay. Rooms are simple but clean and tidy, there is a lovely courtyard, and there is a nice breakfast room. The neighbourhood is good for finding restaurants.
