By walking through Polanco we passed the restaurant. Unfortunately we doesn't had a reservation for this day, but we tried it directly - you don't pay for a question there- and we had luck the very nice ladies at the entrance could give us a table for 02:30. This time we have eaten a la card, because we didn't had time for the Chefs menu but it sounded delicious. So we had a entrance, main course and dessert with a great red wine Unico from Baja California. The food excellent tasty and fantastic presented. All the staff extremely friendly, attentive and helpful and they could remember us from the last year visit. Ups what I have done there the last time I can't remember me. No matter we will come back next year once again with more time and a reservation before.

Quintonil is a very good restaurant. Relatively small, nice atmosphere, personnel extremely kind and courteous, with only 1 exception that looks like a bit more "rigid" and less friendly, but still very professional.
I followed the suggestion given by my waiter and my choice was "charred avocado tartare with escamoles" :excellent . Also the turkey in recado negro deserve attention. A surprise the "mise en Bouche" based on a sort of "cactus tartare". When I will back to Mexico City, I will visit them again.

Quintonil was recommended to us by a personal friend whose opinion we would certainly trust, and this was no exception. A lovely, interesting setting in the Polanco neighborhood with excellent service and interesting and delicious food. This will certainly be a must when we return for our next visit to Mexico City. We arrived quite early (traffic in Mexico City is as unpredictable as any city I've visited) and enjoyed a short walk in this delightful neighborhood before dinner.

Quintonil is a very special experience...from the menu to the careful preparation of rather unusual dishes be prepared for an exotic culinary trip into the use of different ingredients and combinations to prepare small, but delicious dishes which vary from time to time and which will leave diners with an unforgettable trip into nouvelle Mexican cuisine. Booking is essential and there is often a long waiting period to get a table because the establishment is not very large. Prices are high for Mexico standards but the experience is certainly worth it.

It's true. This is the best meal we've had in 4 weeks of eating well in Mexico City. Certainly, Pujol is a more beautiful room, but the food here is definitely a notch above the food there. The tasting menu is one incredible delight after another. And it all Mexican! The portions are sized so that you are not overly stuffed at the end. A real glimpse into the deep complexity of this neglected cuisine. The service was great. If you are planning a visit to this city, book this restaurant ahead of time to be sure you get in.
