From the minute I walked in until when I left, I had an entirely enjoyable experience at this gem of a restaurant in a somewhat unusual location (across the street from the 1st class ADO bus station). The owner turned off a noisy TV and put on some relaxing jazz, brought out some nicely toasted bread (free) along with a good beer and made suggestions and adjustments to the menu to meet my interests. She substituted shrimp for chicken on a wonderfully, fresh, and filling salad, and then, when I wanted a second drink of mineral water, inserted lemons at my request. I had a great late evening meal and got out the door for around $100.00 pesos. Best of all for me was that I found a relaxing spot at a time of day (6-9 pm) where it's hard to find a restaurant that serves fresh food with taste and good company.
