Unfortunately for me I didn't get a lot of sleep due to the heat and the traffic noise. There was only a fan in the room and it was a very noisy fan. Other than that the place was lovely, the staff were friendly, they spoke English well, and its location was close to the central square.

Nice little hotel. Serves the purpose if you are visiting Oaxaca to really tour the town and not relax at the hotel. Wife and I stayed for 4 nights total. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Door closes at about 11 pm, although there is somebody there 24 hrs a day if you arrive late. Management was very nice and let us check in earlier due to morning flight. Gets 5 star rating in it's small, colorfull, cozy hotel category. Not luxury but awesome for the Oaxaca historic experience. Also there is free coffee in the courtyard in the mornings, perfect for waiting to be picked up by your Tour guide if taking any.. There is also a little coffee shop and breakfest place connected to the Hotel. Overall nice place to stay and would recommend.

A nice older little hotel built around several patios (choose the rear if you can to avoid street noise). Lots of flowering plants and trees and simple rooms. Only a couple of blocks from the zocalo and the 20 de noviembre mercado. Reasonable price and efficient staff. Added bonus: great little cafe (Xuncu Choco) on premises. We would return.

This is a hotel that caters to the budget traveler and ladies of a certain age. Rooms are clean, small, windowless. You can choose between shared bathroom accommodations or en suite rooms. The courtyard is nice. The location is excellent. Prices are cheap. The staff is nice and helpful. Rooms are very clean. All i n all I would rate this as 5 of 10.
Oaxaca is a fine place to visir, bur hotels are all on the budget side.

Room Tip: About as good as it gets in Oaxaca.

Beautiful courtyard where you can just chill if you don't want to go out. You can even order food from the adjacent restaurant and eat it there. Rates are decent, staff is nice and helpful, great location walking distance from zocalo and restaurants. Because the rooms open onto the courtyard, it can be noisy, even with the sign from management urging guests to be quiet between 9.30 pm and 9.am.
The only negative thing is that the blankets smelled really musty, and it was a good thing the nights were warm enough that I was able to take mine off the bed and put it away.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back courtyard are a little quieter.
