Great location, very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Pools and beach frontage are very nice
I was impressed by the cleanliness of the resort and the extremely friendly staff. Only downside was I felt there resort resteraunts where overpriced.

Pool areas are nice. Seaweed chokes the beach. They say they clean it twice a day but it was not cleaned till the last day of our stay. Restaurant prices are hit - better deals a few blocks away. But hold on to your belongings. Pick picketers and jewelry thieves galore thrive as if to remind you that you are still in a fairly non law abiding environment

Priceline falsely me lured into booking this place, writing that it was a luxury hotel. It is not. It is just a bunch of family-style condominiums. This is not a luxury hotel. This is a big, expensive playground for children. This is a place to book if you have 4 brats who run out of control all the time. While a luxury hotel features excellent room service, the Westin Lagunamar features a washer and dryer combo in your closet. A luxury hotel has an elegant lobby. This place has barbecue grills in the cabinet that you can use to make low cost homemade meals to feed your massive brood. There is a mini-mart stocked with kid food like peanut butter and potato chips but not adult, up-market foods. They advertise everywhere that kids are half-price. So guess what, they get dozens and dozens of kids. The hideous little creatures walk around here in packs. 10-year-old packs, teenage packs, screaming baby packs.

This is the worst possible place for someone who’s single, or someone who likes luxury, or someone who wants peace and quiet, or someone who wants to enjoy the view, or someone who likes a relaxing swim. This is the absolute opposite of all that.
