We went sailing and took dancing lessons with Alejandro! Alejandro is a great teacher! Alejandro provided us with a fun experience whilst enjoying the fantastic atmosphere at Tres Rios!

We had a great time. The food is amazing and so is the staff. We always get massages Jose and Nancy did not disappoint. We would also like to mention our butlers, Raul, Adrian Oscar and Rodrigo that help make our visit perfect. See you next year!

We visited during the thanks giving weekend and the resort was quite empty. Food was very good the first two days but quality of food and service dropped a little bit during the weekend. We booked only two weeks in advance for a very good price for all inclusive and flight. Distance to Playa Del Carmen is about 15 minutes with a Taxi.
Based on what we got for the money we where satisfied and got what we expected. Rooms are large, in good shape and clean.

Thank Georg K

Altho at first glance the property appears very pretty. And the immediate hospitality seems hopeful, unfortunately we found the property very typical in this genre of resort. The rooms were big but dark. The towels felt like sandpaper. The walls were falling apart and we were in the "new" section. The service was below par for this supposedly high class place. The food was ok. But room service took 2 hours with several calls asking when our food would arrive. The pool setup is also convoluted and getting to the chairs was a strange path. We were advised by the "concierge" as to two different excursions. The first was being taken to a shopping store where you were virtually stuck there. We didn't want to shop,so that was an annoying waste. Then we took a trio to Chichen itza. It was a12 hour trip where once again they took us to stores and more stores , and the time when we finally got to the Mayan ruins was too short. My suggestion would be to hire a private guide or not use the hotels suggestion. The entire ride( 3-4 hours) to Chichen Itaz the workers tried to sell you things. Continuous ... Very irritating. We were also told our bus would be a Luxury bus with toilets. Nope! Crappy typical bus, no toilet. Definitely visit the Mayan ruins , which were amazing and worth your time and energy. Just don't fall for the hotels choices of touring. Ask more questions!!!

Our second time back. Had excellent service from the staff at Tres rios. Rapheal, Filiberto, Said, and Christian in particular made our stay memorable. They attended to our needs and were so warm and friendly. Look forward to coming back.
