Our last night in Cancun after fine dining up and down the Hotel zone turned out to be the best. What a treat! The atmosphere is exquisite, the service beyond excellent ( thanks so much to Mario and Luis for making it so fun and special) and the food is wonderful. Guacamole, crab taco, salad with Gouda cheese,and skirt steak was so good. Run, don’t walk and don’t miss this terrific restaurant.

We have been to Cancún many times and have developed favorite, go-to restaurants. But, we’re always happy to try some place new to us. A local mentioned La Buena Barra so we decided to try it. We liked it so much the first time, we returned again on the same trip, managing to get Roberto as our waiter both times. Being a bit snobbish about wine, we still ventured to try something Mexican and Roberto introduced us to Gran Ricardo, an excellent red blend (we ended up having it three times within a week). Both the crab tacos and rib eye tacos were fabulous starters. The lobster burrito, sea bass, and tiger shrimp were all awesome entrees. Even the chips with multiple salsas as well as the especial churros for dessert were wonderful. We love finding a place where the locals come to eat, enjoy, and celebrate. La Buena Barra is now top of our list!

The sunset was amazing as the place. We ate and drank well. The waiters did a very good job.

Great location on lagoon.we enjoyed piglet tacos, tenderloin on salt block & rib eye steak. Excellent service.
