The accommodations at the Royal Cancun were great and we really enjoyed our stay. The restaurants were excellent and the service was great. The staff took all Covid-19 precautions and we felt safe at the resort. We are looking forward to staying there again.

I stayed at this resort and enjoyed my visit for 3 weeks that went much too fast. Felix, Miguel and the other activities/water aerobics instructor made my stay better than it could have been. I was safe reference COVID in all the activities I participated in and the local bus as well as the hotel shuttle to sister properties was also enjoyable. The beach is nice but not great for snorkeling but ideal for small children. The ability to cook or use their restaurant was a great option. The guests were all pleasant and the atmosphere was always relay. The service at the beach and pool, as well as the Royal market, was very nice. I recommend the resort and will return if the opportunity presents itself.

Like with everyone else, 2020 was tough for us. We double-masked through the airport and flew to paradise. All the main areas, restaurants, and lounge chairs at the Royal Cancun were constantly sanitized. We never went off site, but had delicious meals from the resort’s two restaurants and room service. We usually had breakfast and coffee in the room, as there is a toaster, coffee maker, stove, and a market.

The warmth of the Mexican sun and the tranquil water was restorative. The activity crew-Carlos, Felix, and Miguel-helped to keep our bodies moving with kayak/SUP, bike, and sailing adventures. Every employee, the front desk, housekeeping, bell people, wait staff, maintenance, and landscapers contribute to this lush environment.

This resort is family friendly, the waves are not violent on this beach, children activities, etc. This is not one of the newer, gigantic resorts, but a comfortable resort where you will see familiar faces throughout the week.

I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Royal Cancun. It felt like the staff made our safety and enjoyment their only responsibility. Having the ability to go between the Royal Cancun and Royal Sands also really enhanced our enjoyment. Highly recommend.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed the property. The restaurants are very reasonable and the food was good. The grounds are in pristine shape and well taken care of. The covid protocols are taking seriously and constantly being performed. The staff was friendly and courteous. A special shout out to our house keeper, Giovana Batum for doing an outstanding job with our room during the week.
