We stayed at this hotel for a very decent rate after using a BRG-claim at Starwood. The hotel is quite centrally located in the middle of the action of Cancun which is nice.

At checkin a nice bonus was having a room upgrade to a ocean-view room, as an SPG Preffered Guest Plus member. It was a nice gesture as technically Aloft hotels don't have to offer any such benefits.

Arriving in the hallway of our floor, a mouldy smell was rather unwelcoming.

Rooms were rather small though conveniently designed. However the state of these rooms is certainly subpar.
Hygiene left much to be desired, with hairs and dust on the floor as well as multiple hairs in one of the beds. When we complained and asked for our beds to be remade, we were told no housekeeping was on-site this time of day (this was at approx 8:30pm) and the best they could do is offer us sheets to make up our beds, ourselves.
In terms of maintenance, my main concern was the shower of which the wall clearly had drill-holes from a previous fixation point of the shower door. They just didn't bother to fill up the holes, allowing dust, filth and mould to accumulate inside.

On the plus side, breakfast was awesome with alot of tasty options as well as sparkling wine.

I would not advise this hotel though if indeed you can score a deal you'll find yourself staying in a room in the tourist center of Cancun in a hotel which offers great breakfast.

Room Tip: High floors usually offer less street noise which can be quite loud in the tourist center of Cancun

The lobby was almost always buzzing with activity no matter the hour. But the desk staff was friendly and very helpful.
Rooms were simple and clean.
Breakfasts were simple but tasty, and the staff was very attentive.

This was part of a last minute package deal. Clean, large room. Decent location. A little bit noisy. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Housekeeping didn’t replace toiletries as they were used. Although I spotted people of varying ages staying there, the place has a younger vibe. I’d choose somewhere else for next time.

Many times I have been here..... Always a pleasure to be here. Nice and comfortable rooms with all you need for a stay. Nice bar and bartender, like Ferdy.. Who has done his job more than perfect. I will come again, just for him... And the features what this hotel has to provide...
