The common areas are nice. Rooms are ok. Not really kid friendly. Very mediocre service. Restaurant open only for breakfast and dinner. Food just ok... Not very clean... nice looking but lack of detail.

Comfortable beds and nicely appointed rooms in an historic building. Our junior suite (San Francisco) was roomy and overlooked the beautiful central courtyard. This place is showing a little age (so only 4 stars) but is most charming and right close to the central plaza. For under $100, with free valet parking, a great value.

Room tip: San Francisco jr suite

Stayed for 3 nights as part of our Mexico trip. Ideally placed, very close to the centre, everything you need is close enough to walk to really.
Nice atrium style courtyard, with an impressive tree! The old mission is evident in the style and artefacts around. Pleasant check in service, with a keen porter!
The room was basic, and the only moan would be the old air con, which although efficient was too noisy to leave on overnight. Large room, with 2 double beds!
Breakfast was fine, never had re fried beans and tortillas with my omelette before!
The hotel does have a small pool, no good for swimming, but might be ok for cooling off!
Great service from head waiter!

The hotel is only one block from the centre of the historical district of Merida. We stayed in one of the original rooms of the old mission. Very spacious with high ceilings, a comfortable king bed and great breakfasts. The room was right next to the breakfast area so if you want to sleep in, ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

Room tip: The original rooms at the front are beautiful but noisy if you want to sleep late.

Stayed here for one night, loved the ambiance right away , once you step through the front door wow ! its an old convent.... i will post photos later.... friendly hard working staff , not elevator.. my room was Fray Diego ( they use names ) it was on two levels , large bed lots of room to move around, unlike a lot of converted old mansions..

Room tip: all the rooms are away from the street noise...
