This place is international Standard and by car easy to reach
Rooms are large and clean
Bathrooms with shower ok
Service ok
Reception a little bit slow
Distance to downtown pretty long ,you should take a taxi.
Club for breakfast and sundowner for $40 a day not a bad deal
Mérida itself is a very noisy but a picturesque place
People are friendly and helpful
Temperature pretty high at this time of the year
Would not recommend it at the rainy season , when it’s very humid.
Market excellent with many tropical ripe fruits and good value.
Can be pretty touristy but not the crowd like in Cancun.
Near to Uxmal and natural parc in Celestun.
To spend here 3 nights is no problem.
Tourist Police highly visible with
E cars Hecho en México.
We did not try the culinary scene

The service is high quality, friendly, courteous, polite, attentive and so on. Since the moment you arrive, everybody has a smile upon their faces and you can feel it is the hotel’s mood, so you immediately feel welcome and comfortable. Need to say no more about service.

On the other hand, the property does not feel Intercontinental-tier like. The hotel is spacious and comfortable but it already feels old-fashioned and as luxurious as a nice Holiday Inn. Some examples: the pool is ridiculously small and not the most comfortable or agreeable one, neither for swimming nor for chilling out. In a place where you can easily reach temperatures above 100 degrees, a top-notch pool should be a priority. The bar is another area of the hotel that needs to be taken care of. It simply feels unwelcoming and unappealing. It is not bigger that a guest room and is located -literally- on the elevators’ isle. The handicap rooms are 2 double beds only, so no option for a 1 king bed handicap room… in an Intercontinental hotel! Finally, the restaurant scene also looks old fashioned and scarce; the neighbouring Holiday Inn has a more agreeable restaurant terrace.

Another highlight of this hotel is that it is located within walking distant to several restaurants, cafés, and Paseo Montejo, however, so are the neighbouring hotels.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing Calle 60 (60th street) since they are noisy at rush hours.

Beautiful hotel. We had spacious room with comfy king size bed and balcony overlooking the pool. lovely big bathroom with dual sinks and working extractor fan which is such a bonus on an internal bathroom. Really good buffet breakfast with huge choice but tea and coffee not up to standard. Noisy aircon unit on roof.

Room Tip: Over looking courtyard pool. Higher floors have balconies

The InterContinental Presidents Mérida has been a wonderful place to call home while on my recent business trip. The hotel is located close to shops and restaurants. I will definitely book this hotel again!

The hotel seems to have been recently remodelled.. at a budget. Windowframes across the hallways falling apart and dirty, "terasse" door could barely be opened. The rooms are spacious and have all you need.. Very basic. The pool is a small waterhole with VERY cold water (does not get much sun, it was winter), 3 lounge chairs for the size of the hotel! Breakfast buffet was very good, egg and omelet station with three people was unable to make an all egg-white mushroom and tomato omelet. Took 30 minutes, 3 waiters and 3 tries. The "lobby bar" is a pity of sadness.
Remember Dial-Up Internet.. come to this hotel to experience it again. Slow and unstable. Cannot imagine staying here on business and depending on it. Not good value for money.
