The hotel is very well located,
The beach is about half block away and is a white sand beach.

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great every day, there is a natural "cenote" next to the restaurant area where we were able to see a turtle.

The only thing not too positive about is that the WIFI signal was very poor and only worked next to the reception.

The other thing we didn't know is that the hotel doesn't have a parking lot. We rented a car and we had to pay every night for a parking place 2 blocks away, even though it was very cheap.

I would recommend it.

We arrived early, and was told that the room was not ready. But we was offered to use the hotels swimmingpool, and to take a shower if needed. They also took care of our luggage. The girl in the reception was friendly and helpfull.
The room was quite big, and seemed very clean. The svimmingpool is mostly not in the sun, but they have a nice roof where there are sunbeds. All clean and nice.
We only spend one night at the hotel, and the location was therefor perfect, as it is very close to the buss station and fifth-avenue.
Breakfast was ok. You have the possibilty to choose between 3 different menus. Service was very good.

Would def. stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location, just off 5th avenue and within two blocks of the ferry to Cozumel and the ADO bus terminal. Behind the facade you can leave all the touts behind. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, the grounds are beautifully maintained and the rooms are clean and everything works well. In particular the shower pressure was one of the best we experienced whilst in Mexico. The only criticism would be the beds - they had to be the thinnest mattresses we have experienced, not assisted by tiny pillows, but hey, we survived.

The pool is perfect for cooling off, although the beach is also just at the end of the road. Breakfast is included and consisted of 4 or so choices every morning, in addition to toast, coffee and juice.
We would have no hesitation in staying at the Posada Sian Ka'an again if we traveled to Playa Del Carmen.

This hotel really is a hidden gem!
The staff is SUPER nice and helfull, all of them! The hotel has got all you need. A small pool which nobody really uses, so mostly you can have it on your own.
There is not really any noise, its super close to the beach, but not as pricey as the beach-hotels which is quite nice!
Breakfast also very good!!
The bed however is rather short. I had no problems, but my boyfriend could not lay straight in the bed without his feet sticking out over the edge.
All in all, a very nice hotel! I would definitely stay there again!

Stayed here for 7 nights in mid-June. It is a small hotel very close to the beach, 5th Avenue (where there are plenty of tourist shops, restaurants and bars), ferry port, and the bus station.
I flew from Manchester, UK to Cancun International airport with Thomas Cook. I then took the direct ADO bus to to Playa Del Carmen (PDC) cost pesos 178. The bus was air-conditioned and had a 'normal' and USB socket under the seat you charge your devices on. There was no WiFi on the bus but there was at the bus station in PDC. The journey took about an hour and 10 minutes ( it stops at the other airport) terminals traffic seemed heavy). TIP: on the return journey I was advised by Jose to book my bus ticket the day before as some of the coaches can be full. By booking in advance you are allocated a seat.
Exiting the bus station on to the semi-pedestrianised 5th Avenue there is a a white church to the right. Turn left and walk 150 or so metres to the first intersection. Turn right and the hotel is about 30 metres on the left.
I found the reception staff delightful and very helpful particularly Sasha and Jose who both had excellent English. Some of the other staff have limited English but that was never a problem. I was in room Anita which was a double room with air-conditioning, had an en-suite bathroom, has a small safe, and a balcony. The balcony overlooked the pool and was large enough to easily fit a small table and two chairs. The room was clean and well serviced. There was no television or radio but that is made clear in the hotel material. The Wifi worked in the room although the hotel does say that the best signal is in the lounge area where breakfast is served.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and was included in the price and was a choice of cereal, fruit salad, scrambled egg or a Mexican dish (usually egg based) with toast, coffee and fruit juice. It was not large but enough to set you up for the day.
Towels for the pool or the beach could be retrieved from reception after signing a form agreeing to pay $15 if you lose them.
For the service, price and location this hotel is hard to beat.
I ate out most evenings. There are lots of places to eat in PDC: prices ranged from pesos 100 to 750 for a main course. As I was on a budget I found Falafel Nessya a really good place to eat. It is a small place where the dishes are all based around falafel ( they do fries too) and the food is freshly cooked. Hence great for vegetarians and vegans.
I would recommend La Bodeguita del Medio as a bar to go to: live music, live great dancing by the public and good food. It is busy, loud and full of atmosphere.
I took pesos with me as the rate anywhere in PDC is pretty poor. TIP: no one wants to exchange pesos into dollars or sterling...
