We just needed a place to land for the night before catching the ADO bus to the Cancún airport, and Posada Sian Ka'an was perfect for that. It's walking distance from the ferry, walking distance to the bus terminal, a block from the beach, and a block from Avenida Quinta (if you're into tourist traps).

Because we were there so briefly, we didn't take full advantage of the hotel's amenities, but it was very clean, quiet, and charming. I'd definitely go back.

We had just one night before checking into our condo. This hotel is just wonderful. It’s a quiet oasis just steps from the bustle of 5th. Beautiful grounds and cenote. Pool was small but sufficient for our 10 year old. Room was clean, water was very hot and beds were perfect. Air, fan, fridge for your own drinks. Breakfast was included and also excellent. I followed the recommendations from other travelers on TA and couldn’t be happier. Gracias!

A friend had recommended this hotel and we were glad they had space available when we arrived. The staff was very helpful and the location is as good as it gets. Very quiet, even though it's 1/2 block to 5th ave and 1/2 block to the beach. Our room was clean and all we needed. The beds were a smidge hard, but still just fine. It's so quaint and a lovely setting. The included breakfast was yummy and it was nice to not have to head out early to find a meal. We did a tour, and the staff even packed us a lunch complete with fresh juice. We would go back and stay here on our next visit without a doubt. The pool area is not large, but all you need for a quick dip. We really never saw anyone using this area, so you could almost feel like it was your own private pool.

Room tip: Maybe see if you can get top floor, might have ocean view. We were ground floor, which was lovely too.

We stayed in the hotel for 10 nights and were very happy overall. First impression is relief; an oasis of tranquility in a very bustling area. There are safes and mini fridges (minibar) in the room. Minibar is without content, so you can keep your own drinks cold. There’s airconditioning and fans. All rooms have a balcony or patio, everything is clean and in good condition and it couldn’t be located in a better place. The busy 5th avenue is just around the corner, so is the beach and so is the ferry to the islands. WiFi is good at most places on ground level (no idea about the higher floors).

A few remarks that did not affect our rating because of the good price-quality experience;

- access for cars / taxis is hard or impossible. I saw a few parking spots but am not sure that’s for guests. The walk to/from 10th ave (where taxis are) is just 4 minutes though
- the beds weren’t very soft but still comfortable enough
- there’s no laundry service but irons can be borrowed
- the breakfast selection is very limited, but it’s OK and it changes a little every day
- the sun is only in and around the pool until about 3:00h
- our first room’s curtains didn’t close properly but we got another room easily
- mosquito’s were a thing but there’s a spray service upon request
- staff is very helpful but may not give you the best price / options for excursions. Research before you buy.

As said: these remarks did not affect our stay notably negatively so we recommend this hotel.

After developing a diving medical condition, my son and I stayed at the Sian Ka'an. The rooms were ample, very clean, and quiet. The on site restaurant is open and serves breakfast until 9:00 am. The front desk people contacted great medical care for me and did everything they could to make me comfortable. The kitchen staff also brought me lunch each day. The whole staff was incredible. The top floor is the roof and the view of the ocean is fantastic.

The pool is great with plenty of grass and recliners all around. There is also a cenote on site. I highly recommend the Sian Kaan.

Room tip: I chose the ground floor.
