First off.... Zulema from the FB page, and Molly and Connie,The Concierge, at The Laguna Villas went above and beyond for our stay. I contacted them prior for information about the resort and to schedule dinner reservations prior to our arrival. There was a Feliz Cumpleanos sign on out door and a bottle of champagne and fruit in our room. They were Johnny on the spot making our trip absolutely relaxing, checking in to be certain we were happy with everything. The Villas area is peaceful and the rooms are lovely.... outdoor shower, wonderfully cold air-conditioning, firm bed, walk in closet, safe, and a great spacious balcony. The Laguna private pool could use a little TLC with the tiles... but we loved the cabanas, the service, very few people... and no kids, even a little snack of sandwiches, chips and guacamole at lunch time. The grounds of this resort are kept up impeccably. A beautiful oasis... even though there must be a lot of people at this resort... it never felt busy... peaceful walks in the morning and to dinner... there were times that there were hardly any people on our walks back from dinner. The food is pretty good, not fantastic, but good. If you order the lobster at any of the restaurants... and there's two of you... just order ONE... it's HUGE and delicious. We enjoyed having breakfast with a gorgeous ocean view a few mornings at The Chill Out (included in the Laguna pkg).... we always had a perfect table and wonderful service. We also had a sunset dinner there, good food, good service. We paid out of pocket so we could have Concierge access the week long at the beach, though we didn't use it, we enjoyed the cabanas at the pool more. My dinner pick would be Le Fleur.. definitely more upscale and the food was wonderful. "Worst" dinner... was the sushi at Miso... just not as fresh as I'd like, pre-made which I can understand somewhat, considering the amount of people being served each night. The hibachi dinner at Miso was a lot of fun and LOUD... beware it's HOT in that restaurant so dress accordingly... and the rice is some of the best I've ever had oddly enough. Room service was great, fresh and made to order, their orange juice is some of the best I've had, and a bread and muffin basket enough for four people.. we did a couple of in room breakfasts to have coffee on the balcony and enjoy the view before we got our day underway. You can even pre order the night before to have it when you want for the next day. We never went to any of the buffets, as we enjoyed our other options. The Sports Bar was a welcome burst of incredible cold air and worth it to stop in to cool off with a beverage. Overall I'd definitely return... Laguna Villas are the only way to go for peace and quiet, full on relaxation, and to be catered to completely. Thank you Molly and Connie! I hope to meet up with you again in the near future with the husband I tow. :)

Room Tip: Laguna Villas all the way.

Overall stay was very good. The only real negative I have was the beach area smelled due to an over abundance of seaweed. I understood from other guests that this was an unusual occurrence. The beach crew were trying to clean the sea weed up.

Group of 4 visited mid February. It was very clean and the grounds well maintained. Friendly staff at the restaurants and pretty much throughout the resort. Enjoyed the fish and guacamole from the beach bar and the tacos from the food cart by the pool. Great bar service from Mariana (and always smiling) at the pool! Enjoyed the evening entertainment- fantastic dancers! Some interesting mid-afternoon visitors as well. Definitely a 4+ resort.

We spent an amazing week in the Laguna Villas. The bartenders and servers were absolutely amazing! We loved having Pedro and Margarita! We definitely will be back. The villa pool did send some work with the pool tiles though

The staff in the Laguna Villa suite pool goes above and beyond. Pedro and Margarita are the best. The room was very spacious. The food at the a la carte restaurants was pretty good. Our favorite was the Teppanyaki grill.
