Good Hotel, no restaurant, needs a bit of maintenance but over all good experience, very little cell signal. Only in certain areas. Very poor internet service, good wi fi but no internet, so disconecting from the world is very real!

Stayed: December 2017, travelled with family

This is the best hotel in Los Ayala. Great beach, great staff, great location. Should you choose to stay in this very small town, this is the place to do it. New property with beautiful modern rooms, AC and all the amenities.

We can't wait to return to this resort! It is a real find in a typical small Mexican town. It's not all inclusive, but that's cool because it forces you to explore the town as well for restaurants and groceries. All the rooms have an awesome view, are very clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The design and architecture of the hotel is unique and the beach is right down the steps off the pool deck. Plenty of options for hanging out for the day with seating by the pool, laying by the uncrowded beach in shade or sun, sitting on your own balcony or under the palapa. This is very tranquil place!

Hands Down this is my Favorite Place to stay. The people and staff are very friendly. I email and communicate thru email and have never had a problem. The rooms are VERY clean and the area is surrounded by great food and friendly people.

We stayed for 11 nights. Our room was lovely & the kitchen was well-equipped. Our room was cleaned daily; staff were very friendly. There are only 18 rooms, each with an ocean view. If you are looking for a large & noisy place to hang out, Akan is not the place for you. This resort caters to travelers who enjoy the peace & tranquility of crashing waves. Los Ayala itself is a tiny village (unfortunately with litter & barking dogs) that has a few restaurants & several family-owned stores to buy groceries/tequila/etc. We enjoyed our stay at Akan.
